Golf Notes 9/10/23 – 15/10/23
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 38 players, play a single Stroke competition. The winner was S Dennis with 66 net, runner up was J Trovatello with 68 net. The ball run down went to R Holland & E Meagher 69 net, A Swift 71 net followed by C Petrohilos 72 net and K Cook, B May & D Forsyth 73 net. Pin shots were received G Philp, R Burnett & G Sharpe while E Meagher & S Kopelke received the ladies. The Encouragement Award was awarded to D Dann. Next week will be a single stableford competition.
Ladies:
This week was sponsored by Anna’s Hair & Beauty, playing a single stableford competition. This was the 8th round of the Consistency Cup. The winner was J Baulch with 33 pts, runner up was A Brown ocb with 32 pts. The run down went to H Roebig with 32 pts. A Brown received 8/17 pin shot. This week will be a stableford competition sponsored by Jan Baulch. This week will be an 8 o’clock start. Next week will be sponsored by The Vault playing a single stableford competition.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters had 30 players play a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition, sponsored by R Cunoe from Boonah Jewellery & Gifts. The winner was T Henderson with 28 pts, runner up was B Brown ocb from S Fahey with 27 pts. The rundown continued with L Vandenbrink 26 pts, followed by R Eacott & J McGrath 25 pts and G Hunt & M Gray 24 pts. Pin shots were received by D Forsyth on 4, while T Henderson received both 8 & 9. The Dugandan Dice winner was R Burnett with 5 Queens. This week will be Pub Day playing a back nine hole competition. Next week will sponsored by Boonah Mitre 10 playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday we played The Fassifern Old Boys Rugby League Open Day, playing a stableford competition. The Mens Winner was G Yeomans with 42 pts, runner up was B Perrem ocb from D Ryan with 40 pts, followed by J Wyvill 39 pts, B O’Sullivan, J Gurney & J Miles 38 pts and C Jorgensen with 37 pts. The Ladies winner was L Whittaker with 40 pts, runner up was K Turner with 37 pts ocb from T Reid Pocock, followed by S McKenzie with 35 pts. The run down went to G Clark, S Bennett, M Frohmuller, B Philp, A Gill, J Lynch& G Lutter with 37 pts, D Strybos, A Moore, C Shannon, A Bennett, M Wyvill, D Beazley & G Grimsey with 36 pts followed by C Ainsworth, M Whittaker, B Beasley, P Eggenhuizen, J Grimsey, D Tomlinson, D Taylor, B May, W Maudsley, S Uhlmann & L Blunt all with 35 pts. The Social winner was I Browning with 73 net ocb from Z Marshall followed by J Robinson S Gillett, R Gilloway & H O’Donoghue with 74 net. Pin shots were received by M Wyvill on 1/10, K Milligana received 2/11, A Bennett received 3/12, C Ainsworth & A Leary received 4/13, B Beasley received 5/14, M Frohmuller received 6/15, W Gnech received 7/16, P Gerhardt & A Brown received 8/17 while M Frohmuller received 9/18. Pennants:
This week we hosted the A Grade Pennants Teams. Our A Grade Pennant side defeated Laidley 6.5 to 2.5.
