Golf Notes 26/2/24 – 3/3/24
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 46 players, play a stableford competition. The winner was J Trovatello with 40pts, runner up was G Parker with 38 pts. The run down went to M Gnech & D Stanfield 37 pts, S Edwards 36 pts, J Browning 35 pts, J Picton 34 pts followed by D Wall 33 pts and S Bailey, C Siellaff, A Swift, R Holland & C Petrohlis 32 pts. Pin shots were received by J Browning, C Petrohlis & D Bass while L Edwards, D Wall & B Dover received the ladies. The Encouragement Award went to J Steinke. The Members Draw jackpotted. Next week will be a single stroke competition.
Ladies:
The Ladies played a single stableford competition for a club trophy. The winner was A Brown with 35 pts, runner up was L Reinholdsson with 29 pts. The run down went to B Dover & K Cook with 27 pts. This week will be a stableford competition.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters played the Joe Dover Memorial, playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition, sponsored by his family. The winner was M O’Reilly with 28 pts, runner up was T Roebig with 26 pts. The run down went to G Parker 26 pts, B Sampson & G Eviston 25 pts followed by W Hall, G Benstead, P Eggenhuizen, L Blunt, C Shannon & L Vandenbrink with 24 pts. Pins shots were received by L Blunt on 13, G Eviston received 17 while S Fahey received 18. The Dugandan Dice winner was L Vandenbrink with 4 10’s. This week will be sponsored by D Miles from Miles Ahead Plumbing playing stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week will be sponsored by W Gnech playing a single stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by M Wyvill from Brazzen Rural Products, playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition. The Overall Winner & Monthly Medal Winner was M Weber with 67 net. The Mens Winner was P Gerhardt ocb from runner up G Yeomans with 69 net. The Ladies winner was N Stanfield with 70 net, runner up was T Reid Pocock with 73 net. The run down went to K Milligan with an Eagle, W Hall, A Bennett, W Maudsley & L Blunt with 71 net, followed by B Beasley & P Dadds 72 net and W Gnech, B Freiberg, D Forsyth & R Humphrey with 73 net. Pin shots were received by B Beasley & N Stanfield on 4/13, I Browning & K Turner received 8/17 while A Gill & S Grace received 9/18. This week will be sponsored by Tony Holland Funerals playing a 4 Ball Ambrose competition. The Calcutta will follow presentation of trophies.
