Golf Notes 15/8/22 – 21/8/22
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 27 players play a stableford competition. The winner was D Forsyth with 36 pts, runner up was M Gray ocb from D Dennis & J Gurney with 33 pts. The rundown continued with B Brown, A Swift, G Gray, G Parker & B May 32 pts and T Norris & T Russell 31 pts. Pin shots were received by D Forsyth & G Hunt while L Kelly received the ladies. The Encouragement Award went to D Gittins while R Holland won the members draw. Next week will be a single stroke competition.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters played the Glenn Sippel Memorial sponsored by the QFS & mates, playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was K Rhodes with 26 pts, runner up was visitor T Henderson with 27 pts. The ball run down went to R Scells, W Hall & W Maudsley with 25 pts and G Lutter with 24 pts. Pin shots were received by B Beasley on 13, W Maudsley received 17 while S Bailey received 18. The Dugandan Dice winner was D Forsyth in a toss off. This week will be sponsored by G Eviston for the Hal Gwynne Memorial playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competiton. Next week will be sponsored by S Bennett from Boonah Business Supplies playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by Boonah Furniture Court playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition. Thanks to DJ, Tina, Brad & Co for the continued support. The winner was M O’Reilly with 40 pts, runner up P Rogers with 38 pts ocb. The ladies winner was H Roebig with 42 pts, runner up T Reid Pocock with 41 pts. The ball run down went to S Reid & D Wall 40 pts, T Roebig & G Parker 38 pts, I Pocock, P McNiven, J Gurney, D Forsyth & S Grace with 37 pts, followed by J Pfingst, L Blunt & R Humphrey 36 pts and A Bennett, M Weber, N Toohey & L Edwards with 35 pts. Pin shots were received by S Francis & J Pfingst on 4/13, P Gerhardt & S Grace received 8/17 while P Gerhardt & S Reid received 9/18. The mens 3rd shot on 3/12 was won by G Grimsey while the ladies 4th shot on 6/15 was won by A Leary. This week will be the Boonah Rotary Club Open Day playing a single stableford with a 12.30 shot gun start. Next week will be the Graham Maynard Memorial playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition. This will be the next round of the Bi Rite Challenge.
