Golf Notes 8/8/22 – 14/8/22
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 33 players play a stableford competition. The winner was D Wall with 39 pts, runner up was D Forsyth ocb from D Beazley with 37 pts.. The rundown continued with D Dann, G Hunt & A Swift 34 pts, followed by M Gray & M Smith 33 pts and B Lapworth 32 pts. Pin shots were received by J Gurney & G Hunt while M Smith & D Wall received the ladies. R Freeman received by Encouragement Award while the members draw jackpotted.
Ladies:
This week the ladies played a single stableford competition, for a club trophy. The winner was A Brown with 35 pts, runner up was B Dover with 32 pts. This week will be sponsored by Glens Diner playing a Flag competition. Next week will be a stableford competition sponsored by B Dover.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters played the Wally Woolgar Trophy sponsored by his family, playing a stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was G Searle with 45 net, runner up was W Lovett with 47 net. The ball run down went to M O’Reilly 48 net, followed by T Roebig, G Lutter, R Cuneo & L Blunt wit h49 net. Pin shots were received by G Eviston on 4, C Farnan received 8 while M O’Reilly received 9. The Dugandan Dice winner was D Beazley in a toss off. The best gross for the day was G Parker with 54 off the stick. This week will be the Glenn Sippel Memorial sponsored by the QFS mates, playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. Next week will be sponsored by G Eviston for the Hal Gwynne Memorial playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competiton.
Saturday:
Saturday we played the final round of the Championships sponsored by B G & C Philp playing a stroke competition. The winner was J Miles with 69 net, runner up B Spall with 72 net followed by B Gotke & K Sawtell 74 net, A Heit & B Freiberg 75 net, W Maudsley & J Grimsey 76 net and M Weber, A Bennett, G Grimsey & A Brown with 77 net. The ladies winner was J Wilson with 75 net, runner up D Wall with 77 net ocb. Pin shots were received by T Alchin & J Pfingst on 4/13, B Spall & D Wall received 8/17 while S Francis & A Brown received 9/18. This week will be sponsored by Boonah Furniture Court playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition. Next week will be Boonah Rotary Club Open Day playing a single stableford with a 12.30 shot gun start.

The Mens Champion for 2022 is B Freiberg 222 while the Ladies Champion is A Brown 273. Runners Up were W Maudsley 231 & D Wall 283. B Grade Champions were G Hunt 251 & E Meagher 285. Runners Up were G Parker 258 & J Wilson 295. C Grade Champions are J Grimsey 289 & B Dover 299. Runners Up were G Grimsey 292 & T Reid Pocock 341. D Grade Champion is T Britton 329, Runner up was A Stick 351.
The Net winners for A Grade are B Freiberg 213 & A Brown 228. Runners Up were A Bennett & A Heit 226, Ladies runner up D Wall 233. B Grade Net winners were G Hunt 221, E Meagher 225. Runners Up were K Sawtell 227 & J Wilson 226. C Grade net winners were J Grimsey 223 & B Dover 206. Runners Up were G Grimsey 226 & T Reid Pocock 230. D Grade net winner was T Britton 239, runner was A Stick 258.
