Golf Notes 5/9/22 – 11/9/22
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 31 players play a stroke competition. The winner was M Gray with 38 pts, runner up was D Dann with 37 pts. The rundown went to C Petroholis & G Philp 35 pts, B Brown 34 pts followed by R Stinson, S Dennis, W Hill & B May 33 pts and K Rhodes & J Gurney with 32 pts. Pin shots were received by D Dann & G Sharpe while M Maynard & A Brown received the ladies. The Encouragement Award went to B Hall while the members draw jackpotted. Next week will be a 2 ball Ambrose competition.
Wednesday:
Wednesday the ladies played a single stroke competition, kindly sponsored by Scenic Rim Trophies. The winner was A Tomlinson with 78 net, runner up D Kuhnemann with 79 net. Pin shot was received by D Kuhnemann. The Acurate Drive was won by H Roebig. This week will be a stableford competition and will be the next round of the Consistency Cup, kindly sponsored by Anna’s Hair & Beauty.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by W Creighton from the Fassifern Guardian playing a stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was R Stinson with 45 net, runner up was M O’Reilly ocb from D Forsyth & B Lawrance with 46 net. The rundown continued with B Beasley 48 net and R Cuneo, W Lovett & G Grimsey 49 net. The best gross for the day was shared with B Beasley & B Lawrance with 53 off the stick. Pin shots were received by W Hall on 4, G Grimsey received 8 while P Rabbitt received 9. The Dugandan Dice winner was G Lutter with a toss off. This week will be a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition sponsored by J Handley. Next week will be sponsored by Boonah Eyecare playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday we played the Suicide Prevention and Awareness Open Day playing a 4 Ball Ambrose competition. The winners were A Moore, J Miles, C Bell & K Milligan with 56¼, runners up were T & H Roebig, W Hall & B Lynch 57¾, followed by N Pellin, P Gerhardt, D Green & D Lyons with 58½. The run down went to R Southwell, L Stokes, R Burnett & L Barber 58¾, P King, R Maudsley, A Lutter & J McGrath 59 net and G Benstead, M & J Wyvill and P Eggenhuizen 59¼ . Pin shots were received by J Wilson & W Hill on 4/13, Z Eviston & G Benstead received 8/17 while P Gerhardt received 9/18. This week will be the Glenn Sippel Memorial playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition. Next week will be the Fassifern Bushrangers Open Day playing a single stableford competition. This will be a 12.30 shot gun start.
Sunday:
