Golf Notes 27/6/22 – 3/7/22

Veterans:

Eighteen Boonah Vets played in a Scenic Rim day at Beaudesert last Monday. It was won by Ron Major 41pts ocb (Beaudesert).  David Mortimer 38pts and John Gurney 35pts were among players to get balls in the rundown. Rob Lawrie claimed one of the pin shots and Kris Cook won first pick in the multi-draw raffle.  Next week the 11th & 18th will be the annual Vets championship (stroke net).  The Beaudesert Vets Open day has been rescheduled to Monday, July 25. 

Ladies: 

Wednesday the ladies played a stableford competition.  The winner was S Reid with 38 pts, runner up was A Tomlinson with 36 pts.  T Reid Pocock won a ball in the run down with 35 pts.  The pin shots were received by A Brown. The Accurate Drive winner was K Cook.  This week will be a single stroke/monthly medal competition sponsored by Scenic Rim Trophies.  Next week will be a stableford competition.  This will be the next round of the Consistency Cup.

Sporters:

This week the Sporters were sponsored by The Ward Family (Phil & Kevin) playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.  The winner was R Scells with 28 pts, runner up was L Vandenbrink with 27 pts.  The ball run down went to W Lovett with 26 pts followed by M Gray, B Brown, A Lutter, J McGrath & L Blunt with 24 pts. Pin shots were received by D Forsyth on 8 while A Lutter received 9.  The Dugandan Dice winner was J McGrath with 4 Aces.  This week will be sponsored by BP Boonah playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 + 6 competition. Next week will be sponsored FIS Insurance playing a 2 Ball Ambrose 1-9 + 10, 15 & 16 competition.

Saturday:   

Saturday was washed out along with the Mens & Ladies Foursomes.  This week will be the Dover Memorial, sponsored by Dover & Sons playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition.   Next week will be the Chappy Cup playing a 4 Ball Ambrose competition.  The 1st round of the Championsips will be held on the 23rd July.

Sunday:

Sunday we have a Social Club using all the buggies.  Social play will be available with buggies after they have completed their rounds.   Please ring the club to make a booking or for any further details.
