Golf Notes 27/2/23 – 5/3/23
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 35 players play stableford competition. The winner was W Hall ocb from runner up K Cook with 38 pts. The ball run down went to J Gurney & K Rhodes 37 pts, R Burnett 36 pts. R Major 35 pts followed by D Forsyth 34 pts and D Stanfield, R Stinson, D Dann, A Swift, D Beazley, A Brown & T Norris with 33 pts. Pin shots were received by D Beazley, D Dann & R Burnett while D Kuhnemann & D Wall received the Ladies. The Encouragement Award was received P Peck. Next Monday will be a stableford competition
Ladies:
Wednesday the Ladies played a single stroke/monthly medal competition, sponsored by Scenic Rim Trophies. The winner was T Reid Pocock with 72 net, runner up was A Brown with 73 net. The Pin shot was received by A Brown. This week will be a stableford competition sponsored by Annas’ Hair & Beauty. This will be the 1st round of the Consistency Cup.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by D Miles from Miles Ahead Plumbing playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was G Searle with 29 pts, runner up was T Roebig ocb from C Shannon with 25 pts. Pin shots were received by B Beasley on 4, T Russell received 8 while R Burnett received 9. The Dugandan Dice winner was L Vandenbrink with 5 9’s. This week the Sporters will be sponsored by W Gnech playing a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. Next week the Sporters will be sponsored by R Fitzgerald playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by M Wyvill from Brazzen Rural Products playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition. The winner was J McGrath with 68 net, runner up was K Wilson with 69 net followed by K Milligan with 70 net ocb. The ladies winner was S Grace ocb from runner up H Roebig with 74 net. The ball run down went to R Eacott & S Bennett with 70 net, R Burnett 71 net, B Davey & J Lynch 72 net, followed by D Forsyth, W Martin, M Wyvill & B Williams 73 net and G Parker, C Wilson, B Gotke, N Toohey & R Humphrey 74 net. Pin shots were received by K Milligan & K Turner on 4/13, M Wyvill & J Wilson received 8/17 while K Milligan received 9/18. We had 2 Eagles this week K Milligan on 9 and J Lynch on 15. Congratulations. This week will be sponsored by The President for the 1st round of the Championships. Sunday the 2nd round of the Championships will be sponsored by the Vice President. Next week end is the 3rd & final round of the Championships. The rules for the Championships are on the notice board.

Next week we are playing the Championships no Social play will be available until after the last group have completed first 9 holes of competition.
