Golf Notes 20/1/25 – 26/1/25

Veterans:

Monday the Veterans had 37 players play a single stroke competition.  The winner was V Tippett with 69 net, runner up was B Harding with 71 net.  The rundown went to R Burnett & D Wall 72 net, K Turner, J Gurney, R Freeman & D Stanfield with 73 net, followed by   R Lawrie with 74 net.  Pin Shots were received by R Freeman, R Burnett & D Bass while the ladies were received by K Turner & E Meagher.  L Blunt won the Members Draw.

Ladies:

The Ladies are playing a summer competition now teeing off at 7.30 on a Wednesday.  The winner was T Stinson with 35 pts, runner up was D Marshall ocb from V Tippett with 34 pts.

Sporters:

Wednesday the Sporters played the Lew Lutter Memorial sponsored by S Lutter, M O’Reilly, C Farnan, C Shannon & N Hooke playing a single stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was G Eviston with 30 pts, runner up was R Stinson ocb from C Farnan with 28 pts.  The run down continued with S Fahey & J Strutt 27 pts, B Beasley & W Jones 26 pts, followed by D Stanfield 25 pts and D Beazley with 24 pts.  Pin shots were received by M Gray on 13, D Stanfield received 17 while G Parker received 18.  The Boonah Tavern Dice winner was L Vandenbrink.  This week will be sponsored by L Vandenbrink playing a single stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.  Next week will be sponsored by T Henderson playing a single stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.

Saturday:   

Saturday was sponsored by The Pennell Group, bringing back the Australia Day Cup Open Day, playing a 4BBB stableford competition.  The winners were J McGrath & B Williams with 47 pts, runners up were W Gnech & S Grace ocb from M Titcomb & B Lynch with 36 pts, followed by Z Eviston & J Gurney with 45 pts.  The run down went to R Lawrie & J Trovatello, J Louttit & N Dean, T & H Roebig, D Beazley & W Hall and G Parker & L Blunt with 44 pts, B & V Sampson 43 pts and J & R Picton, M O’Reilly & W Hill, M Weber & S Lutter, D Spink & P Gerhardt and W Lovett & D Stanfield with 42 pts.  Pin shots were received by W Gnech & L Edwards on 4/13, B Lynch received 8/17 while B Dover & D Bass received 9/18.  This week will be sponsored by sponsored by W Martin, R Higgs & P Dadds playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition.  Next week will be sponsored by CF & JE Miles playing a singe stroke/monthly medal competition.  This will be the OOM for Moreton District Golf Association.
