Golf Notes 19/2-24 – 25/2-24
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 28 players, play a stableford competition. The winner was P Peck with 43 pts, runner up was B May with 36 ps. The run down went to C Petrohlis, W Maudsley & W Hill 35 pts, followed by L & S Edwards 33 pts, R Humphey 32 pts and G Parker & T Roebig 31 pts. Pin shots were received by P Peck, B May & W Maudsley while L Edward received the ladies. The Encouragement Award went to B Harding. The Members Draw was won by T Russell. Next week will be a stableford competition.
Ladies:
The Ladies played a single stableford competition sponsored by N Stanfield. The winner was B Dover with 30 pts, runner up was A Brown with 29 pts. The run down went to D Marshall & J Baulch with 26 pts. This week will be a stableford competition.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by M O’Reilly playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was T Henderson with 25 pts, runner up was R Holland ocb from G Hunt with 24 pts. Pins shots were received by L Blunt on 4, G Benstead received 8 while M Wyvill received 9. The Dugandan Dice winner was G Benstead. This week will be the Joe Dover Memorial playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition, sponsored by his family. Next week will sponsored by D Miles from Miles Ahead Plumbing playing stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by Carlton & United Breweries, playing a stableford competition. The Overall Winner was S Edwards ocb from the Mens Winner D Ryan ocb from runner up G Hunt & J Sanderson with 38 pts, followed by A Heit 37 pts & M Gnech with 36 ps. The Ladies winner was S Reid ocb from runner up S Grace also ocb with 35 pts. The run down went to A Leary, P Eggenhuizen, C Shannon & C Jorgensen 35 pts and S Fahey, G Eviston, D Tomlinson & C Perrem with 34 pts. Pin shots were received by C Perrem & N Mulligan on 4/13, P Schwarz & A Leary received 8/17 while S Fahey & S Reid received 9/18. This week will be sponsored by M Wyvill from Brazzen Rural Products, playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition. This will be the 1st round of the Platinum Edge Challenge, for the Claret Jug.
