Golf Notes 20/3/23 – 26/3/23
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 31 players play a stableford competition. The winner was R Freeman with 39 pts, runner up was D Forsyth with 38 pts. The ball run down went to R Stinson 36 pts, D Wall 35 pts followed by J Gurney & S Dennis 34 pts and G Hunt with 32 pts. Pin shots were received by R Freeman, R Humphrey & G Hunt while D Wall & E Meagher received the ladies. The Encouragement Award was received by A McNeill while the membership draw jackpotted. Next Monday will be a stableford competition
Ladies:
Wednesday the Ladies played a single stableford competition, sponsored by Kris Cook. The winner was A Brown ocb from runner up B Dover with 27 pts. This week will be a stableford competition, sponsored by E Meagher.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by D Forsyth playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was G Parker with 25 pts, runner up was P Eggenhuizen ocb from G Benstead & B Beasley with 24 pts. Pin shots were received by R Freeman on 13, G Parker received 17 while J McGrath received 18. The Dugandan Dice winner was D Forsyth with 5 Aces. This week the Sporters will be sponsored B & J Gnech from Mechanics in Boonah playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week the Sporters will be sponsored by Far Outdoors Boonah playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by Glen Christie from Drummond Golf West Burleigh playing a stableford/monthly mug competition. The winner was B Gotke with 39 pts, runner up was T Kratzman ocb from G Lutter & G Yeomans with 37 pts. The ladies winner was Z Eviston with 37 pts runner up S Grace with 35 pts. The ball run down continued with J Gurney, B Brown, R Stinson & G Eviston 36 pts followed by M Myvill, D Mortimer, N Toohey & M Gnech with 35 pts. Pin shots were received by R Lawrie & J Wilson on 4/13, M Wyvill & B Dover received 8/17 while D Lyons received 9/18. This week will be sponsored by Battery World Ipswich playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition. Sunday:
Sunday we have a Social club teeing off at 7.30, using all the buggies. Social play will be available after they have completed their round. Ring the club to make a booking or for any further details.
