Golf Notes 11/9/23 – 17/9-23
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 36 players, play a single Stableford competition at Gatton. The winner was G Sharpe ocb from runner up T Roebig with 35 pts. The ball run down went to R Freeman 34 pts, followed by A Swift & J Gurney 32 pts and D Stanfield, R Lawrie, D Forsyth & G Hunt with 31 pts. Pin shots were received B May & G Sharpe while E Meagher received the ladies. The Encouragement Award was awarded to R Major.
Ladies:
This week was sponsored by Annas Hair & Beauty playing a single stableford competition. The winner was D Marshall with 48 pts, runner up H Roebig with 35 pts. The run down went to L Edwards with 32 pts. H Roebig received 8/17 pin shot. This week will be a stableford competition for a club trophy, with their Open Day on Thursday.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by T & H Roebig from Vanbery Cottage playing a single stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was R Fitzgerald ocb from runner up R Cuneo with 28 pts. The rundown went to W Lovett 27 pts, S Fahey, J Gurney, B Beasley & J Strutt 26 pts, followed by B May & G Benstead 25 pts and R Freeman 24 pts Pin shots were received by R Burnett on 4, while T Henderson received both 8 & 9. The Dugandan Dice winner was M Gray with 5 Jacks. This week will be sponsored by Boonah Eyecare playing a stableford 10-18 + 1-5 & 6 competition. Saturday we played the Glen Sippel Memorial playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition. Thanks to Juleen & Geoff for your support. The winner was R Eacott with 40 pts, runner up was B Sampson ocb from P Gerhardt & S Bailey with 38 pts. The Ladies winner was J Briant with 33 pts, runner up was J Pfingst ocb from D Wall with 32 pts. The run down went to C Jorgensen & W Maudsley with 37 pts, J Gurney, J Trovatello, S Bennett, S Lutter, G Parker & P Eggenhuizen with 36 pts followed by A Bennett, J Schumacher & A Parker with 35 pts. Pin shots were received by I Pocock & N Stanfield on 4/13, D Mortimer & D Wall received 8/17 while C Philp & J Wilson received 9/18.
