Golf Notes 7/11/22 – 13/11/22
Veterans:
Monday the Vets had 31 players play a stableford competititon. The winner was R Holland with 39 pts, runner up W Lovatt with 38 pts ocb from E Meagher & J Gurney. The run down continued with C Petroholis 37 pts, T Roebig 35 pts, followed by R Humphrey & G Philp 34 pts and M Gray, S Dennis & G Parker with 33 pts. The pin shots were received by J Browning, C Petroholis & J Gurney while E Meagher received by ladies. The Encouragement Award was won by B Hall. The Members Draw jackpotted Next Monday the 21st is the Scenic Rim Day @ Boonah.
Ladies:
Wednesday the ladies played a 9 hole Bring a Friend Day. This week will be a 2 ball Ambrose competition, sponsored by S Grace.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by M Crowther playing a single stroke + Putts 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was J McGrath with 46 net, runner up was A Parker with 47 net. The rundown went to R Eacott & R Stinson 48 net, followed by M O’Reilly & G Searle with 49 net. Pin shots were received by B Beasley on 13, while S Fahey received 18. The Dugandan Dice winner was R Freeman in a toss off with 5 Aces. The best gross for the day went to W Maudsley with 51 off the stick while the least amount of putts went to A Parker with 17 putts ocb. This week will be sponsored by Dover & Sons playing the 1st round of their Championships, playing a stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week will be sponsored by Dover & Sons playing the 2nd round of their Championships, playing a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by FIS Insurance playing a 4 Ball Ambrose competition The winners were M & J Wyvill, P Eggenhuizen & G Benstead with 56¾, runners up were M Gnech, B May, S Edwards & G Philp with 57¼, followed by C & J Wilson and D & A Tomlinson 57¾, C Wheeler, B Lynch, J Stenzel & L Moloney 58¼, J Miles, K Milligan, C Bell & A Moore 58¾ and I Pocock, L Edwards, C Farnan & J Grimsey 59 net. The ball run down went to B Freiberg, A Bennett, G Parker & G Eviston, A Leary, D Ryan, B Davey & R Humphrey and A Lutter, J McGrath, R Maudsley & R Eacott. Sunday:
Sunday we played the Mens & Ladies Foursome Championships. The Champions for 2022 are J Browning & J Gurney with 120. Ladies Champions are S Reid & S McKenzie with 129. Runners up were A Heit & A Gill 121, ladies runners up were K Turner & D Wall with 130. The net winners were B Brown & W Hall with 106.5, runners up were A Parker & C Perrem with 110.25. The net winners for the ladies were J Wilson & Z Eviston with 114, runners up were T Reid Pocock & A Tomlinson with 115.
This week we have a small Social Club using some of the buggies. Social play will be available. Ring the club for bookings or for any further details.
Course Closure
The course will be closed Monday after 1 and all of Tuesday for some renovations to the greens.
