Golf Notes 6/2/23 – 12/2/23
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 42 players play a stableford competition. The winner was R Freeman with 43 pts, runner up was K Turner ocb from R Humphrey with 36 pts. The ball run down continued with D Ryan & D Wall 34 pts, D Gittins, M Sim & R Stinson 33 pts followed by L Blunt with 32 pts. Pin shots were received by R Lawrie, J Gurney & W Gnech while K Turner & D Wall received the Ladies. The Encouragement Award was received by K Cook. Next week the Veterans will play a single stableford competition.
Ladies:
Wednesday the Ladies played another stableford competition for a club trophy. The winner was B Dover with 30 pts, runner up was A Brown with 28 pts. This week will be another stableford competition for a club trophy.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by N Hooke playing a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was B Sampson with 44 net, runner up was M Wyvill with 45 net. The ball run down went to S Fahey & T Russell 46 net, W Wieland & R Scells 47 net followed by R Maudsley & W Lovett 48 net and B Beasley, W Hall, M O’Reilly & A Lutter with 49 net. The best gross for the day was S Fahey with 47 off the stick which included a Eagle on the 6 hole. Pin shots were received by M Wyvill on 4, W Gnech received 17 while B Beasley received 18. The Dugandan Dice winner was T Roebig with 4 Kings. This week the sporters will be sponsored by M O’Reilly playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week the Sporters will be sponsored by the Dover Family for the Joe Dover Memorial playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by The Fassifern Guardian playing a stableford/monthly mug competition. The winner was G Eviston ocb from runner up J Miles with 40 pts. The Ladies winner was J Pfingst with 39 pts, runner up was J Wilson with 37 pts. The ball run down went to W Maudsley 38 pts (this was the best gross for the year with 71 off the stick), A Bennett & M Titcomb 37 pts, followed by I Pocock, G Parker, A Leary, A Parker, W Hall, G Benstead, M Weber & B Dover with 36 pts. Pin Shots were received P Gerhardt & H Roebig on 4/13, W Hall & B Dover received 8/17 while A Bennett received 9/18. This week will be sponsored by W Martin, P Dadds, N Toohey & R Higgs playing a 4BBB Stableford Medley competition. Next week will be sponsored by Tony Hollands playing a 4 Ball Ambrose competition
Sunday:
This week we have a Social club teeing off at 7.30 using all of the buggies. Social play will be available after they have completed their rounds if wanting a buggy. Ring the club to make a booking or you can go online and book your round.
