Golf Notes 30/1/23 -5/2/23
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 33 players play a stableford competition. The winner was D Beazley with 41 pts, runner up was W Hill ocb from M Sim with 40 pts. The ball run down continued with B Brown & D Ryan 38 pts, followed by R Burnett & D Wall 35 pts and K Turner & T Roebig 34 pts. Pin shots were received by R Lawrie, D Beazley & J Gurney while K Turner received the Ladies. The Encouragement Award was received by R Major. Next week the Veterans will play a 2 ball Ambrose Competition.
Ladies:
Wednesday the Ladies started their competition, for the year with a stableford competition for a club trophy. The winner was B Dover with 32 pts, runner up was K Cook with 29 pts. This week will be another stableford competition for a club trophy.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by J Gillett playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was G Parker with 30 pts, runner up was G Yeomans with 29 pts. The ball run down went to R Burnett 28 pts, L Blunt & B Beasley 27 pts, followed by C Farnan 26 pts, M Wyvill 25 pts and R Eacott & J Gurney 24 pts. Pin shots were received by M Wyvill on 4 while W Gnech received both 8 & 9. The Dugandan Dice winner was D Purcell with 5 Kings. This week the sporters will be sponsored by N Hooke playing a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. Next week the Sporters will be sponsored by M O’Reilly playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by Boonah Real Estate playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition for the Moreton District OOM. The A Grade winner was A Parker ocb from runner up S Ziebath with 70 net. B Grade winner was J McGrath with 62 net, runner up was S Lutter with 69 net. C Grade winner was T Britton with 67 net, runner up was M Weber with 72 net. The ball run down went to G Maynard, K Milligan, G Eviston, A Heit & B Gotke 71 net, followed by M Manning M Herrington, C Wilson & W Hill 72 net. The A Grade best gross for the day was received by M Manning with 69 off the stick while J McGrath & S Lutter had the best gross in B Grade with 79 off the stick. The Ladies winner was E Meagher with 71 net, runner up was J Pfingst with 72 net. The ball run down went to K Turner, N Stanfield & H Roebig with 76 net. Pin Shots were received by G Maynard on 1/10, R Kaczuk received 2/11, M Weber received 3/12, A Brown & J Miles received 4/13. Congratulations to Jason who had a hole in one, B Gotke received 5/14, K Turner received 6/15, D Gittins received 7/16, A Jefferd & E Meagher received 8/17 while R Higgs received 9/18.
