Golf Notes 30/9/24 – 6/10/24
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans played a single stroke competition. The winner was W Hill ocb from runner up V Tippett with 68 net. The ball rundown went to T Roebig 71 net, R Holland, G Philp, R Humphrey, T Henderson & L Blunt 72 net, followed by L Edwards & W Lovett 73 net and B Philp, S Buchholz & C Petrohilos 74 net. The pin shots were received by J Gurney, C Petrohilos & D Bass while L Edwards & V Tippett received the ladies. Next week will be a stableford competition.
Ladies:
Wednesday the ladies played a single stroke/monthly medal competition. The winner was S Savery with 73 net, runner up was J Edwards with 76 net, followed by D Marshall, S Grace & V Tippett with 78 net. Pin shot was received by S Savery on 8/17. This week will be a stableford competition for the next round of the Consistency Cup. Next week will be sponsored by T Reid Pocock playing a 4BBB stableford competition.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters had 31 players, play a single stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition, sponsored by W Hall & B Sampson. The winner was T Roebig ocb from runner up J Handley with 27 pts. The run down went to W Wieland, J Strutt & C Shannon 26 pts, W Lovett, R Burnett & N Hooke 25 pts followed by S Fahey, A Hertweck, G Searle & P Schwarz with 24 pts. Pin shots were received by D Forsyth on 13, T Henderson received 17 while J McGrath received 18. B Beasley had an Eagle on the 6th hole. J McGrath received the NAGA award. The Dugandan Dice winner was T Roebig with 5 Aces in a toss off. This week will be sponsored by R Cuneo from Boonah Jewellery & Gifts, playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week will be the Fassifern Pub Day playing a 9 hole stableford competition.
Saturday:
Saturday we played the K & L Forsyth Memorial, sponsored by their families, playing a single stableford competition. The mens winner was P McNiven ocb from runner up T Roebig with 40 pts, followed by A Bennett ocb from R Humphrey also ocb with 38 pts. The ladies winner was D Wall with 40 pts, runner up was A Leary with 36 pts. The run down went to C Farnan 38 pts, S Bailey, W Martin, D Mortimer & K Wilson 37 pts, J West & I Pocock 36 pts, R Higgs, W Hall, B Philp, P Gerhardt, R Burnett, D Bass, H Perrem, L Blunt & Z Eviston 35 pts, followed by J Browning, P Schwarz, M Titcomb, M Weber & K McQuilty 34 pts and B Dover, J McGrath, L Edwards, C Perrem, S Savery, B Lynch, K Sawtell, S Grace, G Philp, W Gnech, S O’Connell, W Hill & T Reid Pocock 33 pts. Pin shots were received by W Gnech & L Edwards on 4/13, J Pfingst & D Bass received 8/17 while R Lawrie & A Leary received 9/18. This week-end will be the Darvall Cup playing both Saturday & Sunday. Saturday will be a single stroke/monthly medal competition. Sunday will be a single stroke competition. Next week will be The Fassifern Old Boys Rugby League Open Day. This is the Lou Lutter Memorial, playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition. This is both a 7.30 & 12.30 shot gun starts.
Pennants:
Sunday the Division 2 players had another win. This time against Laidley at Brisbane River. The boys won 4½ to 2½.
Sunday: This week we are playing the Darvall Cup over the 2 days. No Social Play will be available.
