Golf Notes 16/1/23 – 22/1/23
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 50 players play a stableford competition. The winner was N Halls with 39 pts, runner up was B May ocb from G Philp, A Swift & M Gray with 37 pts. The ladies winner was A Brown with 35 pts, runner up was D Kuhnemann with 33 pts. The ball run down continued with J Gurney & S Dennis 36 pts, D Forsyth 35 pts followed by W Hall, G Floyd, K Rhodes, C Petrohilos & D Ryan with 34 pts. Pin shots were received by T Norris, S Dennis & C Petrohilos while the K Turner received by ladies. The Encouragement Award was received by K Cook. Next week the Veterans will play a stableford competition.
Ladies:
The Ladies are playing their Summer competition and will go through to the 31st January, 2023.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters played the John Allen Memorial playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition, sponsored by R Scells. The winner was B Brown with 28 pts, runner up was T Henderson with 27 pts. The ball run down went to G Hunt 26 pts, D Forsyth, W Maudsley & W Gnech 25 pts followed by B Sampson with 24 pts. Pin shots were received by G Hunt on 4, while W Gnech received 9. The Dugandan Dice winner was T Henderson with 5 Aces. This week the sporters will play a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition, kindly sponsored by L Vandenbrink. Next week the Sporters will be sponsored by J Gillett playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by the Girls playing a stableford/monthly mug competition. The winner was S Lutter with 41 pts, runner up was J Lynch ocb from R Eacott with 38 pts. The Ladies winner was J Wilson with 37 pts, runner up was N Stanfield with 34 pts. The ball run down continued with M Weber, P Gerhardt, W Martin & B Freiberg 37 pts, followed by N Toohey & W Gnech 36 pts and G Lutter, D Mortimer, A Heit, D Forsyth, T Britton & A Parker with 35 pts. Pin Shots were received by S Lutter & E Meagher on 4/13, P Gerhardt & E Meagher received 8/17 while A Tomlinson received 9/18. This week will be sponsored by CF & JE Miles playing a stableford competition. Next week will be sponsored by Boonah Real Estate playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition for the Moreton District OOM.
Sunday:
No Social club this week. Social play will be available at 7 if wanting a buggy. Ring the club to make a booking or you can go online and book your round.
