Golf Notes 15/5/23 – 21/5/23
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 34 players play a 2 ball ambrose competition. The winners were B May & J Gurney with 62¼, runner ups were T Henderson & G Hunt with 68¼. The ball run down went to D Mortimer & J Trovatello 69 net, S & L Edwards 70¾, followed by T Russell & D Beazley 71 net, T Norrris & G Sharpe 71¼ and R Humphrey & W Hill 72 net. Pin shots were received T Norris, R Holland & J Gurney while L Edwards received the ladies. The membership draw was won by R Burnett. Monday the 29th is the Beaudesert Open Day.
Ladies:
This week was sponsored by J Edwards playing a single stableford competition. The winner was B Dover with 34 pts, runner up was N Stanfield with 31 pts. B Dover received the pin shot on 8/17. Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by Boonah Tyre Power Service playing a single stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was T Henderson ocb from runner up G Eviston with 43 net. The rundown went to J Gurney 44 net, followed by B May, D Forstyh & M Gray with 49 net. Pin shots were received by K Rhodes on 13, J Gurney received 17 while B May received 18. This week will be sponsored by G Lutter playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week will be sponsored by J McGrath playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday we played a Championship 4 BBB stroke medley competition The winners were A Gill & A Heit with 64 net, runners up were A & S Bennett ocb from C Bell & J Miles with 65 net. The ball run down continued with M Wyvill & B Gotke and S Fahey & G Eviston 66 net, R Eacott & J Handley, J Finney & B Freiberg, G Benstead & S Grace and N Toohey & W Martin 67 net followed by K Wilson & G Grimsey, W Bird & T Britton, G Clark & A Leary, M Titcomb & T Reid Pocock with 68 net, K Turner & G Hunt, W Hill & B Philp, W Gnech & J Gurney and B Dover & W Hall 69 net. Pin shots were received by M Wyvill & D Wall on 4/13, J McGrath & K Turner received 8/17 while G Clark & A Tomlinson received 9/18. This week will be The Fassifern Bushrangers Open Day. This week we have 2 small Social Clubs using some of our buggies. You can come out play amongst them. Clubhouse will be open at 7 if requiring a buggy. Ring the club to make sure there is a buggy available when you book your round or for any further details.
