Golf Notes 22/5/23 – 28/5/23
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 36 players play a Stableford competition. The winner was D Mortimer with 39 pts, runner up was J Gurney ocb from R Holland with 38 pts. The ball run down continued with J Browning 37 pts, D Gittins & L Blunt 35 pts followed by G Sharpe & G Philp 34 pts and S Edwards & M Gray 33 pts. Pin shots were received R Burnett, L Blunt, D Mortimer & J Gurney while J Percival received the ladies. The membership draw jackpotted while R Stinson received the Encouragement Award. Monday the 5th will be a single stableford competition.
Ladies:

Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by G Lutter playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was G Hunt with 26 pts, runner up L Blunt with 25 pts. The rundown went to W Maudsley, D Beazley & M Ryan with 24 pts. Pin shots were received by W Maudsley on 8, while J Gurney received 9. Saturday we played The Fassifern Bushrangers Open Day. Thanks to Ian for arranging the day on behalf of the Bushrangers. The A Grade winner was R Higgs with 42 pts, runner up was K Milligan with 39 pts ocb. B Grade winner was G Yomans ocb from runner up M Titcomb with 38 pts. C Grade winner was S Edwards with 35 pts, runner up was J Jorgenson with 34 pts. The Ladies winner was T Reid Pocock with 46 pts, runner up was B Dover with 39 pts. The Social Winner was M Baker, runner up was J Brooks. The ball run down went to M Penn 39 pts, J Haigh, A Gill, A Tomlinson with 38 pts, J Pfingst 37 pts, K Turner & C Wilson 35 pts followed by B Beasley, A Hertweck & A Bennett with 34 pts. Pin shots were on all holes and received by K Sawtell on 1/10, 2/11 was received by A Gill, D Fraser received 3/12, G Clark & E Meagher received 4/13, K Sawtell received 5/14, B Kennedy received 6/15, K Milligan & L Edwards received 8/17 while W Maudsley & J Pfingst received 9/18. W Maudsley & J Briant received the Accurate Drives, B Perrem & J Percival received the Long Drives while J McGrath received the Mystery Drive.
