Golf Notes 12/12/22 – 18/12/22
Veterans:
Monday the Vets had 36 players play a stableford competition. The winner was E Meagher ocb from runner up C Petroholis with 38 pts. The ball run down went to T Roebig & S Kopelke 37 pts, G Philp 35 pts followed by R Burnett, R Lawrie, D Wall, L Blunt & R Freeman 34 pts and S Dennis with 33 pts. The pin shots were received by N Halls, G Sharpe & G Parker while E Meagher & S Kopelke received the Ladies. The Encouragement Award went to L Vandenbrink while the Members Draw jackpotted. Veterans will return on the 9th January.
Ladies:
The Summer competition has started and will go through to the 31st January, 2023.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by G Lutter playing a stableford 1-9 + 10,14 & 15 competition. The winner was G Searle ocb from runner up T Henderson with 27 pts. The ball run down went to L Blunt 26 pts, followed by T Reobig 25 pts & K Rhodes with 24 pts. Pin shots were received by R Eacott on 8, while 9 was received by G Searle. The Dugandan Dice winner was K Rhodes with 5 Jacks. Sporters are now on their Xmas recess and will resume on the 4th January playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. This will be sponsored by R Stinson & B Davey playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by Tony Hollands Funerals playing a 4 ball Ambrose competition. The winners were S Lutter, B Gotke, S Fahey & G Eviston with 54.62. runners up were J Miles, T Drinnan, K Milligan & A Moore with 56.62, followed by M & J Wyvill, G Benstead & G Eggenhuizen 56.75. The ball run down went to B & D May, J Gurney & B King 57.25, G & C Philp & G & A Parker 57.75 and S Bailey, K Sawtell, J Holland & J Charlton with 57.75. Pin Shots were received by C Perrem & T Reid Pocock on 4/13, T Drinnan received 8/17 while K Milligan received 9/18. This week and next week will be club trophies playing a stableford competition. They will be an 8.30 shot gun start. The Clubhouse will be closed on Christmas Day only.
