Golf Notes 13/2/23 – 19/2/23
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 40 players play a 2 Ball Ambrose competition. The winners were G Philp & G Parker with 61¾, runners up were B May & J Browning with 64¼. The ball run down went to M Sim & P Peck 65 net, R Lawrie & C Petrohilos 65½ and M Panzram & A McNeill 66¼. G Philp had an eagle on the 15th hole. Pin shots were received by M Panzram, C Petroholis & J Gurney while K Turner & D Wall received the Ladies. The Encouragement Award was received by R Holland & M Gray. Next week the Veterans will play a single stableford competition.
Ladies:
Wednesday the Ladies played another stableford competition for a club trophy. The winner was H Roebig with 34 pts, runner up was L Reinholdsson with 33 pts. Pin shots were received by K Cook & L Reinholdsson. This week will be another stableford competition for a club trophy.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by M O’Reilly playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was D Forsyth with 29 pts, runner up was W Lovett with 28 pts ocb from T Russell. The ball run down continued with L Blunt 27 pts, followed by W Hall, B Brown & G Gray with 26 pts and G Lutter with 25 pts. Pin shots were received by G Gray on 4, W Lovatt received 8 while G Parker received 9. S Fahey managed another Eagle on the 15th hole. Dugandan Dice winner was B Brown with 4 Jacks. This week the sporters will be sponsored by the Dover Family for the Joe Dover Memorial playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. Next week the Sporters will be sponsored by D Miles from Miles Ahead Plumbing playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by W Martin, P Dadds, N Toohey & R Higgs playing a 4BBB Stableford Medley competition. The winners were R Humphrey & G Clark with 44 pts, runners up were B Philp & W Hill ocb from R Maudsley & A Lutter also ocb. The ball run down went to W Martin & R Higgs 44 pts, S Francis & B Lynch, S Grace & D Gittins, J Lynch & A Heit and K Sawtell & B Perrem all with 43 pts. Pin shots were received by A Lutter & H Roebig on 4/13, B Davey & J Pfingst received 8/17 while G Lutter received 9/18. This week will be sponsored by Tony Hollands Funerals playing a 4 Ball Ambrose competition. Next week will be sponsored by M Wyvill from Brazzen Rural Products playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition. Both of these are 12.30 Shot Gun starts. There will be a Calcutta happening after completition of play for the upcoming Championships on the 4th March.
Sunday:
This week we have a small Social club teeing off at 7 using some of the buggies. We will then have our first Sunday Competition with a 4BBB stableford medley competition. This is a timesheet event starting at 11 am.
