Golf Notes 4/12/23 – 10/12/23
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans played a 2 ball ambrose competition. The winners were J & D Gurney with 60 net, runners up were G Parker & L Blunt with 66¾. The ball run down went to B Philp & R Humphrey and W Lovett & D Beazley 67¼ , B May & J Browning 67½ , W Hill & S Dennis 67¾, followed by G Clarke & K Sawtell and T Norris & G Sharpe with 69½. Pinshots were received by G Parker, L Blunt & T Henderson while K Cook & K Turner received the ladies. Next week there is no formal competition next week.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by G Hunt & T Russell playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was W Hall with 28 pts, runner up was D Stanfield ocb from M Wyvill with 27 pts. The run down continued with D Forsyth & W Wieland 26 pts followed by B Beasley, T Henderson, G Parker & S Fahey 25 pts and J Gurney & A Stick 24 pts. Pin shots were received by W Wieland on 4, D Stanfield received 8 while T Henderson received 9. The Dugandan Dice winner was P Eggenhuizen in a toss off. This week will be a club trophy playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. This is the last week of competition for the year. Sporters will resume on the 10th January 2024.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by Peak Pool Performance playing a single stableford competition. Thanks, Matt for your continued support. The A Grade Winner was W Martin ocb from runner up G Parker with 36 pts also ocb. B Grade Winner was W Hill with 39 pts, runner up was C Wilson ocb with 37 pts. C Grade winner was D Tomlinson with 49 pts, runner up was C Jorgensen with 42 pts. The Ladies Winner was J Wilson with 41 pts, runner up was J Pfingst with 39 pts. The run down went to T Bennett 40 pts, B Philp 39 pts followed by M Weber, C Shannon, M Herrington & J Briant with 37 pts, M Wyvill, C Bell, K Sawtell, D Forsyth, L Blunt, G Yeomans & J Sanderson 36 pts and Z Eviston, P Gerhardt & B Gotke with 35 pts. Pin shots were received by P Eggenhuizen & D Wall on 4/13, W Hill & D Wall received 8/17, while W Gnech & E Meagher received 9//18. The Monthly Mug playoff winner was D Tomlinson. Congratulations. This week will be a 2 Ball Ambrose competition, for club trophies.
Sunday:
Social clubs are now finished for the year. Social play will be available, though the club house will be open at 7 am if requiring a motorized cart.
