Golf Notes 30/10/23 – 5/11/23
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 39 players, play a 2 ball ambrose competition. The winners were W Hill & C Petrohilos with 65¼, runners up were J Browning & B May with 66 net. The ball run down went to W Lovett & J Haigh and T Henderson & P Peck 67 net followed by L Blunt & R Scells 67¾ and R Burnett & R Freeman 68¼. Pin shots were received B May, M Gray, W Hill & C Petrohilos while L Edwards received the ladies. The Encouragement Award was awarded to K Cook & J Edwards. Next week will be a single stroke competition.
Ladies:
This week the ladies played a stableford competition for a club trophy. The winner was V Sampson with 38 pts, runner up was D Marshall with 36 pts. This week will be sponsored by Sandy Lees café playing a single stableford competition.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by M Crowther playing a single stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition, plus count your putts. The winner was W Wieland with 41 net, runner up was R Burnett with 43 net. The rundown went to R Stinson 44 net, N Hooke 45 net, B Beasley 46 net, followed by I Wallace, M Gray, R Eacott, K Rhodes, G Eviston & L Vandenbrink 47 net and B Brown, M Wyvill, J Gurney, D Forsyth, T Henderson, G Benstead & G Lutter with 49 net. The best gross for the day was S Fahey with 57 off the stick. G Eviston received the least putts. Pin shots were received by G Parker on 13, G Benstead received 17 while W Lovett received 18. The Dugandan Dice winner was K Rhodes with 5 Aces. This week will be the 1st round of Championships, kindly sponsored by Dover & Sons, playing a single stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Saturday:

The Ladies winner was N Stanfield with 71 net, runner up was A Leary with 72 net.
