Golf Notes 26/9/22 – 2/10/22
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 27 players play a single stableford competition. The winner was A Swift with 39 pts, runner up was G Parker with 38 pts. The rundown went to R Lawrie & D Dann with 37 pts, R Major 36 pts, J Gurney & G Floyd 35 pts, followed by G Philp 34 pts and S Dennis & P Dautzenberg 33 pts. The Encouragement Award went to B Lapworth while the members draw was won by R Lawrie. Next week the 10th October is the Scenic Rim Day at Canungra.
Ladies:
This week will be a single stroke/monthly medal competition, sponsored by Scenic Rim Trophies. Next week will be a single stableford sponsored by Anna’s Hair & Beauty. This will be the next round of the Consistency Cup.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by B & J Gnech from Mechanics in Boonah, playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 + 6 competition. The winner was B Beasley with 29 pts, runner up was B Lawrance with 27 pts. The rundown went to W Gnech, T Roebig & R Cuneo 25 pts & L Blunt 24 pts. Pin shots were received by B Lawrance on 13. The Dugandan Dice winner was A Stick with 4 Jacks. This week will be sponsored by W Hall & B Sampson playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. Next week will be sponsored by Boonah Jewellery & Gifts playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by Bendigo Bank playing a single stroke/monthly medal competiton. Thanks for your continued support. The winner & monthly medal winner was N Toohey with 67 net, runner up was A Lockwood ocb from W Hill with 69 net, followed by G Grimsey 70 net and B May 71 net. The Ladies winner was V Bird with 74 net, runner up was A Leary with 75 net, followed by E Meagher ocb from J Wilson with 76 net. The ball run down went to W Saunders, J Browning, B Lawrance & R Eacott 72 net, W Martin, G Philp & C Wilson 73 net followed by A Parker, A Lutter & B Lynch 74 net and, J McGrath, M Gnech, W Gnech, J Grimsey, T Alchin, G Eviston & D Forsyth with 75 net. Pin shots were received by A Brown & B Lynch on 4/13, E Meagher & B Lawrance received 8/17 while J Pfingst & C Wilson received 9/18. This week will be the Kath & Lex Forsyth Memorial sponsored by the Forsyth Family, playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition. Next week will be the Fassifern Old Boys Rugby League Open Day playing a stableford competition. This will be a 12.30 shot gun start.
