Golf Notes 23/1/23 – 29/1/23
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 37 players play a stroke competition. The winner was R Lawrie with 68 net, runner up was B May ocb from G Philp & G Hunt with 72 net. The ball run down continued with J Gurney 73 net, W Hill 74 net followed by S Dennis, D Forsyth & W Hall 75 net and T Roebig, W Lovatt & C Petrohilos 76 net. Pin shots were received by G Philp, R Lawrie & J Gurney. The Encouragement Award was received by D Stanfield. Tomorrow & next week the Veterans will play a stableford competition.
Ladies:
Wednesday the Ladies will start their 18 hole competition for the year with a stableford competition for a club trophy.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters played a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition, kindly sponsored by L Vandenbrink. The winner was S Fahey with 30 pts, runner up was G Yeomans with 29 pts. The ball run down went to J McGrath & W Wieland 27 pts, followed by W Gnech & T Roebig 26 pts and L Blunt, W Hall & A Lutter 24 pts. Simon had an Eagle on the 15th hole. Pin shots were received by R Burnett on 13, G Benstead received 17 while B Beasley received 18. The Dugandan Dice winner was W Hall with 5 Aces in a toss off. This week the sporters will sponsored by J Gillett playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week the Sporters will play a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition for N Hookes’ trophy.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by CF & JE Miles playing a stableford competition. Thanks for the day and also becoming a new sponsor. The A Grade winner was P Gerhardt ocb from runner up W Gnech with 38 pts. B Grade winner was G Eviston with 42 pts, runner up was G Yeomans with 37 pts. C Grade winner was B Davey with 45 pts, runner up was M Titcomb with 38 pts ocb. The Ladies winner was Z Eviston with 34 pts, runner up was J Pfingst ocb with 33 pts. The ball run down went to J Miles 38 pts, G Clark & W Hall 37 pts, B May, K Wilson, S Bennett, I Pocock, G Parker & B Williams 36 pts, followed by A Parker, D Gittins, L Blunt & W Hill 35 pts and J Gurney, D Stanfield, A Bennett & J Jorgenson 34 pts. Pin Shots were received by S Lutter on 1/10, B Davey received 2/11, A Parker received 3/12, P McNiven & J Pfingst received 4/13, P Gerhardt received 5/14, S Fahey received 6/15, L Blunt received 7/16, A Lutter & E Meagher received 8/17 while C Perrem received 9/18.
