Golf Notes 22/1-24 – 28/1/24

Veterans:

No Veterans this week due to the course being flooded.

Sporters:

Wednesday the Sporters played the John Allen Memorial playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition, kindly sponsored by R Scells.  The winner was G Eviston ocb from runner up T Roebig with 27 pts.  The run down went to R Eacott 26 pts, D Stanfield 25 pts followed by B Sampson & A Stick with 24 ps. Pin shots were received by A Skinner on 4, B Sampson received 8 while W Wieland received 9.  This week will be sponsored by L Vandenbrink playing a stableford 10, 18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.  Next week will be sponsored by R Humphrey playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.

Friday Australia Day:

Friday we played a 9 hole competition for the Australia Day Holiday.  The winner was R Burnett with 21 pts, runner up was I Pocock ocb from D Stanfield & S Reid with 20 pts followed by J Trovatello with 18 pts.  Pinshots were received by R Burnett & D Christie on 4, B Dover & R Christie received 8 while S Reid & T Roebig received 9.

Saturday:   

Saturday we played a single stableford competition, sponsored by The Fassifern Gurardian.  Thanks for your continued support.  The Overall Winner was W Martin ocb from the Mens winner B Beasley with 41pts.  Runner up was J Trovatello ocb from B Gotke with 38 pts, followed by S Lutter & G Grimsey with 37 pts.  The Ladies winner was J Wilson with 39 pts, runner up was K Turner with 36 pts followed by T Reid Pocock with 35 pts.  The run down went to C Jorgenson, G Eviston, D Tomlinson & D Forsyth 36 pts, followed by R Eacott, C Shannon 35 pts and P McNiven, D Wall, W Hill, C Wilson & I Pocock with 34 pts.  Pin shots were received by K Turner & L Blunt on 4/13, T Reid Pocock & B Gotke received 8/17 while T Reid Pocock & M Wyvill received 9/18.   This week will be sponsored by Boonah Real Estate playing a single stroke/Monthly Medal competition.  This will be the OOM for the Moreton Districts.   Next week will be sponsored by CF & JE Miles playing a single stableford/Monthly mug  competition.

Sunday:

Sunday we have a small Social Club using some of the buggies.  Social Play will be available to play amongst them.  Some buggies will be available, but ring the club to book so you won’t be disappointed.
