Golf Notes 19/8/24 – 25/8/24
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 60 players, play a single stableford competition, for the Boonah Vets Open Day. The mens winner was W Maudsley with 39 pts, runner up was G Hunt with 38 pts. The ball run down went to A Blackie & P Dautzenberg 37 pts, M Gray & M Baldwin 36 pts followed by T Roebig, D Bass & L Blunt 35 pts and D Forsyth, S Dennis, R Humphrey, T Henderson, R Holland & D Stanfield 34 pts. The ladies winner was D Wall with 38 pts, runner up was E Meagher with 36 pts. The ball run down went to D Reid, J Edwards & H Young 33 pts, followed by S Gillian 32 pts, D Marshall 31 pts and M Brown 30 pts. Pin shots were received by P Lapworth, T Roebig & W Maudsley while the ladies were received by M Brown, D Wall & E Meagher. Next week will be a 4BBB stableford competition.
Ladies:
Wednesday the Ladies played a 4BBB competition, sponsored by J Baulch. The winners were K Cook & J Edwards with 43 pts, runners up were D Marshall & H Roebig with 41 pts. Pin Shots were received by D Marshall & L Edwards. This week will be sponsored by Sandie Lees’ Café & Glens Diner playing a single stableford competition. This will be the Annette Geiger Memorial. Next week will be a monthly medal, playing a single stroke competition for a club trophy.
Sporters:
The Sporters played the Glenn Sippel Memorial sponsored by his QFS mates and D Forsyth & B Brown, playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was R Burnett ocb from runner up G Hunt with 28 pts, followed by R Scells with 27 pts. The run down went to T Roebig, G Eviston, R Maudsley & B Beasley with 25 pts and D Stanfield, R Cuneo & S Fahey with 24 pts. Pin shots were received by B Shaw on 4, W Wieland received 8 while S Fahey received 9. The Dugandan Dice winner was R Cuneo with 5 nines. This week will be sponsored by G Eviston for the H Gwynne Memorial, playing a 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. Next week will be sponsored by S Bennett from Boonah Business Supplies, playing as single stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.

Saturday, we played The Boonah Rotary Club Open Day playing a single stableford competition. The Overall Winner was T Henderson with 43 pts. The Mens A Grade winner was A Bennett with 40 pts, runner up was B Shaw with 39 pts followed by D Bass & R Higgs 38 pts & B Lawrance with 37 pts. B Grade winner was B Williams with 42 pts, runner up was G Parker 40 pts, followed by D Patrick, P Eggenhuizen & A Parker with 36 pts. C Grade winner was D Forsyth with 37 pts, runner up was D Tomlinson 35 pts followed by A Hertweck & J Trovatello 34 pts and P Dadds 32 pts. The Ladies winner was D Wall with 37 pts, runner up was J Dover with 36 pts, followed by E Meagher 34 pts, K Turner 33 pts and J Pfingst with 32 pts. The Social winner was S Bennet. Pin shots were received by T Henderson on 1/10 & 9/18, B Beasley received 2/11, E Meagher & A Hertweck received 3/12, A Bennett & A Shaw received 4/13, P Gerhardt received 5/14, J Pfingst received 6/15, S Edwards received 7/16, J Surawski & D Wall received 8/17. The Long Drives were received by A Heit, M Titcomb, A Hertweck & A Tomlinson. The run down went to J Browning & W Maudsley 36 pts, S Lutter & G Benstead 35 pts, G Hunt, P Gerhardt, C Wilson, W Martin & L Blunt 34 pts followed by J Gurney & M Herrington 33 pts and R Freeman, J Dover & D Stanfield with 32 pts. This week will be The Graham Maynard Memorial, sponsored by his family, playing a single stableford competition. Next week will be sponsored by the Bendigo Community Bank Kalbar playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition.
Sunday Pennants:
Today the Pennants played their 2nd round. Our A Grade side went down again, while the B Grade squared their match.

No Social Club this week Social Play will be available. The clubhouse will open at 7 am if requiring a buggy. Ring the club house to book your buggy to avoid disappointment.
