Golf Notes 18/7/22 – 24/7/22
Veterans:
Monday the Vets played a stroke/net competition for the 2nd round of their Championships. The Champions for 2022 are S Bailey & A Brown. The daily winner was R Fitzgerald with 66 net, runner up S Bailey with 69 net. The ball run down went to D Mortimer with 73 net, A Brown, K Sawtell & R Lawrie 74 net and D Forsyth, G Hunt, J Gurney & E Meagher 75 net. The best gross for the day was S Bailey with 81 off the stick. Pin shots were received by J Haigh, S Dennis and J Gurney for the men, while K Cook & S Kopelke received the ladies. The Encouragement Award was received by R Freeman, while the Members Draw jackpotted. Next week will be a stableford competition.
Ladies:
This week the ladies played a 3 club stableford competition, sponsored by D Kuhnemann. The winner was S Grace with 36 pts, runner up B Dover with 30 pts. S Grace won the pin shot on 8/17. This week will playing a stableford competition, sponsored by L Gurnett.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by The Butcher Co playing a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was J McGrath with 44 net, runner up B Brown ocb from B Beasley with 49 net. Pin shots were received by J McGrath on 13, W Maudsley received 17 while G Eviston received 18. The best gross for the day was B Beasley with 52 off the stick. The Dugandan Dice winner was R Cuneo in a toss off with 4 Aces. This week will be sponsored by G Searle playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week will be sponsored by M Gray & BMK Kalbar playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday we played the1st round of the Championships playing a stroke competition for the Keith & Sheila Bartholomew Memorial, sponsored by the Bartholomew Family. The winner & monthly medal winner was B Freiberg with 68 net, runner up J Gurney with 70 net. The ball run down went to G Hunt 71 net, J Wilson, K Wilson, N Toohey & G Parker 73 net and A Bennett, M O’Reilly, W Maudsley, A Brown & T Roebig 74 net. Pin shots were received by J Gurney & A Brown on 4/13, N Toohey & J Wilson received 8/17 while T Roebig received 9/18. The Accurate Drive was won by B Brown. This week will be the 2nd round of the Championships playing a stroke competition sponsored by Asahi Beverages. Sunday we will be playing the mixed foursome championships. Next week end will be the Darvall cup sponsored by D Forsyth, M O’Reilly & J Gillett playing a stroke competition. The Darvall Cup day 2 will be held on Sunday 7th August.

Sunday we are playing the Mixed Foursome Championships, Social play will be available after they have finished their 18th hole as we play 27 holes. Please ring the club to make a booking or for any further details.
