Golf Notes 31/7/23 – 6/8/23

Veterans:

Monday the Veterans had 34 players play a Single Stableford competition.  The winner was K Rhodes with 41 pts, runner up was B Philp ocb from R Holland with 38 pts.  The ball run down continued with G Sharpe & R Burnett 35 pts, followed by J Browning, J Gurney, M Gray, B May, K Cook, D Stanfield & L Blunt with 33 pts.   Pin shots were received by J Browning, J Gurney & L Blunt while M Maynard & K Cook received the ladies.   P Dautzenberg received the Encouragement Award.   Monday the 14/8/23 will be a 2 ball Ambrose competition.  

Ladies:

Wednesday the Ladies were sponsored by Scenic Rim Trophies playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition.  The winner was N Stanfield with 69 net, runner up was L Edwards with 70 net. This week will be sponsored by Annas Hair & Beauty playing a stableford competition.  This will be round 6 of the Consistency Cup.   Next week will be sponsored by Glens Diner playing a flagged event.

Sporters:

Wednesday the Sporters had 40 players, sponsored by M Gray & BMK Kalbar playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.   The winner was B Beasley with 29 pts, runner up was J McGrath with 28 pts followed by G Lutter 27 pts and T Roebig with 26 pts.   The ball run down went to R Eacott 25 pts, followed by L Blunt, G Benstead, T Henderson, G Eviston, D Beazley, G Parker, J Strutt & A Stick with 24 pts.    Pin shots were received by R Burnett on 4, D Beazley received 8 while B Beasley received 9.  The Dugandan Dice winner was T Roebig in a toss off.  This week will be The Wally Woolgar Memorial Trophy, playing a Stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition, sponsored by his family.    Next week will be the Glen Sippel Memorial sponsored by the QFS & mates, playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.

9 Hole Friday Comp:

The winner of our 9 hole comp playing a stableford back 9 competition was D Stanfield with 19 pts.  This week will be a stroke front 9 competition.  You can play Friday at any time as long as you have someone to mark your card. 

Saturday:   

Saturday was sponsored by G J Walsh playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition.  The Overall Winner was G Lutter with 69 net.  The Mens Winner was J Trovatello with 70 net, The Ladies winner was Z Eviston with 73 net.  The ball run down went to T Roebig 71 net, R Eacott, M Dickson, A Lutter & J Handley 72 net, followed by P Gerhardt & W Maudsley with 73 net.   Pin shots were received by R Major & J Pfingst on 4/13, M Wyvill & H Roebig recieved 8/17 while B Beasley & A Brown received 9/18.  This week will be sponsored by The Maynard Family for the Graham Maynard Memorial playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition.  This will be round 5 of the Bi Rite Challenge.  The next week will be the Furniture Court Open Day playing a single stableford competition.  Timesheet for this is filling fast. 

Sunday: 

This Sunday we have a Social club using all the buggies.  Social play will be available when they have completed their round.  Ring the club to book your round or for any further details.
