Golf Notes 28/7/24 – 4/8/24
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 28 players, play a 2 Ball Ambrose competition. The winners were D Bass & D Wall 64.75, runners up were T Henderson & G Hunt ocb from J & D Gurney with 65 net, followed by L Blunt & P Peck with 66 net. Pin shots were received by T Henderson & D Bass while the ladies 4/13 was received by D Wall. Next week will be a single stroke competition.
Ladies:
Wednesday the Ladies had 8 players play a single stableford competition, sponsored by J Edwards. The winner was N Stanfield with 37pts, runner up was D Marshall with 35 pts. The run down went to S Grace 30 pts & K Cook with 28 pts. Pins shots were received by N Stanfield & T Reid Pocock. This week will be a single stroke competition for a monthly medal competition.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by R Freeman & R Burnett playing a single stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was B Brown ocb from runner up G Benstead with 28 pts. The run down went to M Gray, B Beasley, P Rogers & J McGrath 26 pts and D Forsyth with 24 pts. Pin shots were received by B Beasley on 13 while S Fahey received 18. The Dugandan Dice winner was J McGrath in a toss off. This week will be sponsored by M Gray & R Holland playing a single stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week will be the Wally Woolgar Memorial playing a single stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition, sponsored by his family.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by the Bartholomew family for the Keith & Sheila Bartholomew Memorial, playing a single stroke/Monthly Medal competition. The mens winner was I Pocock with 65 net, runner up was P Eggenhuizen ocb from W Hill with 69 net, followed by T Roebig ocb with 70 net. The Ladies winner was A Leary with 72 net, runner up was J Pfingst with 74 net, followed by S Grace & L Edwards with 75 net. The rundown went to J Lynch & J Browning 70 net, G Clark, K Sawtell & P Gerhardt 71 net, followed by B Beasley, B Gotke & J Gurney 72 net, S Lutter, R Bodey, A Bennett, B May & D Bass 73 net and S Bennett, B Shaw, S Fahey & B Williams 74 net. Pin shots were received by S Fahey & J Pfingst on 4/13, D Bass & E Meagher received 8/17 while B Lynch & A Leary received 9/18. Sunday:
No Social Club this week. Social Play will be available, though ring the club house to book a buggy to avoid disappointment, or to see if there is one available, as we do get booked out. The club house will open at 7 am.
