Golf Notes 28/11/24 – 3/11/24
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 48 players, play a single stroke competition. The winner was T Henderson with 67 net, runner up was R Lawrie with 68 net. The ball rundown went to W Maudsley & J Trovatello 69 net, P Peck 71 net, followed by G Sharpe, K Turner & W Lovett 73 net and P Haynes, R Stinson, M Gnech, S Kopekle, J Gurney, D Beazley & T Russell with 74 net. The pin shots were received by G Clark, P Peck & Shane Kopelke while Sue Kopelke received the ladies. Next week will be a stableford competition.
Ladies:
Wednesday the ladies had 12 players, play a single stableford competition, for a club trophy. The winner was S Savery with 38 pts, runner up was L Reinholdsson ocb from J Dover with 35 pts. Pin Shots were received by K Cook & S Grace. This week will be a single stroke/monthly medal competition.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters had 39 players, play a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition, sponsored by W Lovett & D Stanfield. The winner was M Gray ocb from runner up R Cuneo with 29 pts. The run down went to J McGrath 25 pts, followed by R Burnett, B Beasley, W Lovett & P Willett with 24 pts. Pin shots were received by M McKenzie on 4, G Searle received 8 while B Beasley received 9. The Dugandan Dice winner was B Sampson with 5 nines. This week will be sponsored by M Crowther playing a single stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. There is a putting comp as well so you will have to count your putts. Next week will be sponsored by Dover & Sons for the 1st round of the Sporters Championships, playing a single stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by our Boonah Veterans Association playing a single stableford competition. The Overall winner was R Burnett with 43 pts. The Mens winner was D Gittins with 42 pts, runner up was D Beazley with 41 pts followed by M Herrington with 40 pts. The Ladies winner was S Reid with 40 pts, runner up was A Tomlinson with 39 pts followed by Z Eviston with 38 pts. The run down went to R Lawrie 39 pts, P McNiven, G Clark & K McQuilty 38 pts followed by D Forsyth, J Gurney, B Philp & C Wilson 37 pts and B May, J Wilson, A Leary, D Wall, J Trovatello & G Philp with 36 pts. Pin shots were received by J Pfingst & W Martin on 4/13, V Bird & B May received 8/17 while J Wilson & A Parker received 9/18. Pennants:
Both of our Pennant teams had a win today Division 2 pennant team had a good win 6-1 against Brisbane River. While our Divison 1 team won 6½ to 2½ against Rosewood.

This week we are hosting the Division 2 Pennants teams. NO Social Play will be available.
