Golf Notes 26/6/23 – 1/7/23
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 33 players play a Single Stableford competition. The winner was J Browning ocb from runner up S Edwards with 37 pts. The ball run down went to W Lovett 35 pts, S Dennis & M Gray 34 pts, followed by F Rupp 33 pts and C Petrohlis, D Dann, S Kopelke, A Swift, W Hall, G Parker & R Freeman 32 pts. Pin shots were received by J Browning , F Rupp & R Burnett while S Kopelke received the ladies. J Yates received the Encouragement Award. Monday the 10th will be the 1st round of our Championships playing a single stroke competition.
Ladies:
This week will be sponsored by Scenic Rim Trophies playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition. Next week will be sponsored by Annas Hair & Beauty playing a single stableford competition. This will be the 5th round of the Consistency Cup.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by C Farnan playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was D Stanfield ocb from runner up J Jorgensen and M O’Reilly with 27 pts. The rundown continued with B Beasley 26 pts, D Forsyth & L Vandenbrink 25 pts followed by D Beazley, G Parker & C Farnan with 24 pts. Pin shots were received by T Henderson on 13, G Benstead received 17 while C Shannon received 18. The Dugandan Dice winner was G Searle with 5 Aces. Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by D Forsyth, M O’Reilly & W Hill playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition. The winner and monthly medal winner was G Benstead ocb from J Grimsey with 70 net, followed by J Trovatello ocb from K Wilson with 71 net and I Pocock 72 net ocb. The ladies winner was N Stanfield ocb from A Brown with 69 net, followed by S Reid with 75 net. The ball rundown went to G Maynard 72 net, M Wyvill & G Parker 73 net followed by M Gnech, M Weber, G Philp & S Edwards with 74 net. Pin shots were received by J Handley & L Edwards on 4/13, K Wilson & Z Eviston received 8/17 while S Fahey & K Turner received 9/18.
