Golf Notes 14/11/22 – 20/11/22
Veterans:
Monday the Vets had 24 players play a stroke competititon. The winner was M Gray with 68 net, runner up G Parker with 69 net. The run down went to P Dautzenberg & D Forsyth 72 net, J Gurney 73 net, G Philp, R Humphrey & G Sharpe 74 net, followed by R Holland 75 net and L Blunt, W Lovatt & R Feeeman 76 net, The pin shots were received by R Lawrie, G Parker & J Gurney. The Encouragement Award was won by T Norris. The Members Draw, jackpotted. Next Monday will be a stableford competition with the AGM of the Vets to follow.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by Dover & Sons playing the 1st round of their Championships, playing a stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was G Searle with 45 net, runner up was G Lutter with 46 net. The rundown went to W Lovatt 47 net, W Hall & L Vandenbrink 48 net, followed by G Hunt with 49 net. The best gross for the day went to G Hunt with 53 off the stick. Pin shots were received by W Wieland on 4, S Fahey received 8 while B Beasley received 9. The Dugandan Dice winner was T Roebig with 5 Kings. This week will be sponsored by Dover & Sons playing the 2nd round of their Championships, playing a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The best gross for the Championships is sponsored by W Gnech, while the net winner is sponsored by A Hertweck for a Xmas Ham. Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by Boonah Tyrepower playing a stableford/monthly mug competition. Thanks for the continued support. The winner was J Beasley ocb from runner up M Gnech with 41 pts. The Ladies winner was J Wilson ocb from V Bird also ocb. The ball run down went to R Higgs 39 pts, C Bell, W Martin, J Gurney & L Blunt 38 pts, followed by D Wall, J Pfingst & B Brown 37 pts and G Sellick, G Lutter, B Philp & S Reid with 36 pts. Pin Shots were received by B May & A Brown on 4/13, W Gnech & K Turner received 8/17 while G Parker received 9/18. This week will be a 2 ball Ambrose for the Boonah Lions Open Day. Next week will be sponsored by G & Z Eviston, W Gnech & B Sampson playing a single stroke competition. This will be the Monthly Medal playoff.
