Golf Notes 13/1/25 – 19/1/25

Veterans:

Monday there wasn’t any Veterans due to the course being flooded. 

Ladies:

The Ladies are playing a summer competition now teeing off at 7.30 on Wednesdays.  The winner was D Marshall with 37 pts, runner up was V Tippett with 33 pts.

Sporters:

Wednesday the Sporters had 37 players play, the John Maynard Memorial sponsored by his family, playing a Single Stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.  The winner was G Parker with 46 net, runner up was G Eviston with 47 net.  The run down went to P Schwarz with 48 net, followed by B Brown, B Beasley, L Blunt & M O’Reilly with 49 net.  The best gross for the day was B Beasley with 53 off the stick.  Pin shots were received by L Blunt on 4, J Gurney received 8 while B Beasley received 9.  The Boonah Tavern Dice winner was W Lovett.  This week will be the Lew Lutter Memorial sponsored by S Lutter, M O’Reilly, C Farnan, C Shannon & N Hooke playing a single stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.  Next week will be sponsored by L Vandenbrink playing a single stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.

Saturday:   

Saturday was sponsored by R & W Maudsley from B P Boonah playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition.  The A Grade winner was B Lawrance with 39 pts, runner up was B Freiberg with 36 pts.  The B Grade winner and monthly mug winner was S Bennett with 39 pts, runner up was M Herrington with 38 pts.  The C Grade winner was D Stanfield ocb from runner up M O’Reilly with 35 pts.  The Ladies winner was N Stanfield with 34 pts runner up was S Reid with 33 pts.  The run down went to M Titcomb 37 pts, C Gatehouse & M Gnech 36 pts, S Fahey, R Higgs, M Wyvill, M O’Reilly & C Wilson 35 pts, S Francis, B Sampson, W Martin & J McGrath 34 pts followed by M Cavanagh, J Gurney & W Lovett with 33 pts.  Pin shots were received by T Reid Pocock & M O’Reilly on 4/13, D Mortimer received 8/17 while S Reid & J Browning received 9/18.  This week will be sponsored by the Pennell Group bringing back the Australia Day Cup Open Day, playing a 4BBB stableford competition.  Next week will be sponsored by W Martin, R Higgs & P Dadds playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition.

Sunday:

No Social Club this week, ring the club and reserve your buggy if wanting one.  The clubhouse will open at 7 am.
