Golf Notes 14/10/24 – 20/10/24
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 38 players play a single stableford competition. The winner was J Trovatello with 37 pts, runner up was C Petroholis with 36 pts. The ball run down went to M Gray & P Peck 35 pts, R Freeman 34 pts followed by B May, D Forsyth & R Lawrie 33 pts. The pin shots were received by A Swift, G Clark & C Petroholis while V Tippett & K Turner received the ladies. Next week will be a stroke competition.
Ladies:
Wednesday the ladies had 12 players play a 4BBB stableford competition, kindly sponsored by T Reid Pocock. The winners were J Edwards & L Reinholdsson with 45 pts, runners up were J Baulch & S Savery with 44 pts. Pin shots were received by J Baulch & T Reid Pocock. This week will be sponsored by L Gurnett playing a single stableford competition.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters had 47 players for the Fassifern Pub Day playing a 1-9 hole stableford competition. The winner was L Vandenbrink ocb from runner up A Bennett & G Robinson with 22 pts. The run down continued with M Bennett, S Piva, G Eviston, R Freeman & M Titcomb with 20 pts, followed by B Freiberg, J Finney, C Shannon, K Krist & P Willett 19 pts and S Lutter, L Blunt & R Maudsley with 18 pts. Pin shots were received by S Lutter on 4, G Robinson received 8 while J Haigh received 9. The long drives were received by S Fahey & G Robinson. The putting competition was won by A Bennett with 11 putts. The winning Pub was the Boonah Tavern with 116 pts, runners up were Royal Hotel Kalbar with 110 pts. The Dugandan Dice winner was N Cobbin with 5 Aces in a toss off. This week will be sponsored by Boonah Mitre 10 playing a single stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. Saturday:
Saturday we played The Fassifern Old Boys Rugby League Open Day. This is the Lew Lutter Memorial, playing a single stableford competition. The Overall Winner was J West with 43 pts. The mens winner was B May with 42 pts, runner up was R Maudsley with 41 pts, followed by A Hertweck, I Pocock & C Wilson with 39 pts followed by R Lawrie 38 pts ocb. The ladies winner was A Shaw with 41 pts, runner up was S Grace with 40 pts followed by J Briant 39 pts, V Tippett 38 pts and A Tomlinson with 37 pts. The Social winner was M Bennet, runner up was S Bennet, followed by Z Marshall & J Robinson. The run down went 32 pts. Pin shots were received by D Wall & J Gurney on 4/13, Z Eviston & K Wilson received 8/17 while A Leary & D Bass received 9/18. Sunday:
Next week have a social club using all the buggies, teeing off at 7 am. Social Play will be available after they have finished their round if requiring a buggy. Ring the club to make a booking to avoid disappointment.
