Golf Notes 7/10/24 – 13/10/24
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 41 players play a single stableford competition. The mens winner was R Stinson with 44 pts, runner up was R Scells with 43 pts. The ball rundown went to N Halls 41 pts, B Philp, A Hertweck & A Swift 38 pts, D Bass & K Rogers 37 pts followed by R Freeman, J Gurney, W Lovett & N Zahnow 35 pts. The ladies winner was V Tippett with 38 pts, runner up was D Wall with 37 pts. The ball run down went to L Edwards 36 pts, followed by K Turner & J Edwards. The pin shots were received by D Bass, R Burnett & J Gurney while L Edwards & K Turner received the ladies. Next week will be a stableford competition.
Ladies:
Wednesday the ladies had 10 players play a single stableford competition for the next round of the Consistency Cup. The winner was D Marshall with 36 pts, runner up was B Dover with 34 pts. Pin shots were received by N Stanfield on both 4/13 & 8/17. This week will be sponsored by T Reid Pocock playing a 4BBB stableford competition. Next week will be sponsored by L Gurnett playing a single stableford competition.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters had 29 players, play a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition, sponsored by R Cuneo from Boonah Jewellery & Gifts. The winner was B May with 27 pts, runner up was R Freeman ocb from R Fitzgerald & B Shaw with 25 pts. The run down continued with C Shannon, S Fahey, W Gnech, B Beasley & G Eviston with 24 pts. Pin shots were received by J Lynch on 4, B May received 8 while C Shannon received 9. S Fahey had an Eagle on the 6th hole. The Dugandan Dice winner was R Stinson with 5 Queens. This week will be the Fassifern Pub Day playing a 9 hole stableford competition. Next week will sponsored by Boonah Mitre 10 playing a single stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday we played the 1st round of the Darvall Cup playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition. The mens winner was B Brown ocb from runner up R Cuneo with 39 pts. The ladies winner was Z Eviston with 63 net, runner up was S Savery with 73 net ocb. The run down went J Browning 70 net, G Eviston, B Lynch & R Higgs 71 net, W Martin, P Gerhardt & J Lynch 72 net followed by M Dickson, M Vanderkyl, D Mortimer, I Pocock, P McNiven, B Shaw, S Reid, D Bass & W Hall with 73 net. Pin shots were received by S Reid & J Lynch on 4/13, Z Eviston & R Cuneo received 8/17 while P McNiven & Z Eviston received 9/18. This week will be The Fassifern Old Boys Rugby League Open Day. This is the Lou Lutter Memorial, playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition. This is both a 7.30 & 12.30 shot gun starts. Next week will be the Tony Holland Funerals playing a 4 Ball Ambrose competition.
Sunday: We played the 2nd round of the Darvall Cup, playing a single stroke competition. The ladies winner was V Tippett with 71 net, runner up was N Stanfield with 72 net. The mens winner was J Browning ocb from W Lovett with 72 net. The rundown went to B Dover 73 pts, M Weber 74 net, followed by J Pfingst, L Blunt & T Reid Pocock with 75 net and B Brown, R Cuneo & S Savery with 76 net. Pin shots were received by T Reid Pocock & J Browning on 4/13, J Surawski & J Pfingst received 8/17 while S Fahey & J Wilson received 9/18.
Next week have a social club using all the buggies, teeing off at 7 am. Social Play will be available after they have finished their round if requiring a buggy. Ring the club to make a booking to avoid disappointment.
