Golf Notes 23/9/24 – 29/9/24
Veterans:
No Veterans on Monday as the course is closed for renovations. Next week will be a stableford competition.
Ladies:
Wednesday was sponsored by K Cook playing a stableford competition. The winner was V Tippett with 42 pts, runner up was B Dover with 39 pts, followed by S Savery with 38 pts. Pin shots were received by B Dover on 4/13 while V Tippett received 8/17. This week will be a Monthly Medal competition for a club trophy. Next week will be a stableford competition for the next round of the Consistency Cup.
Sporters:
The Sporters had 35 players play a single stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition, sponsored by D Beazley. The winner was L Blunt ocb from runner up D Stanfield with 28 pts. The run down went to W Lovett & R Freeman 27 pts, A Hertweck, B Brown & J McGrath 26 pts, followed by M O’Reilly 25 pts and W Hall & J Handley 24 pts. Pin shots were received by R Cuneo on 4, M O’Reilly received 8 while J Strutt received 9. The Dugandan Dice winner was L Vandenbrink with 5 Kings. This week will be sponsored by W Hall & B Sampson playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. Next week will be sponsored by R Cuneo from Boonah Jewellery & Gifts, playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by Boonah Furniture Court playing a single stableford competition. Thanks to DJ & Brad for the array of trophies for the day. The mens winner was J Picton with 43 pts, runner up K Sawtell ocb from A Parker & S Edwards with 38 pts. The ladies winner was S Grace with 35 pts, runner up was J Wilson with 33 pts, followed by T Reid Pocock with 32 pts ocb. The Social winner was S Gillett, runner up was DJ followed S O’Reilly. The run down went to B Freiberg 39 pts, C Farnan 36 pts, P Eggenhuizen & D Stanfield 35 pts, W Lovett, A Hertweck, J Miles, T Roebig & M Gnech 34 pts, C Wilson & R Dewar 33 pts followed by R Burnett, W Hill, S Bailey, P Gerhardt & L Edwards 32 pts and G Martin, M O’Reilly, J McGrath, B Dover, C Bell & B Lawrance with 31 pts. Pin shots were received by J Lynch & L Edwards on 3/12, J Lynch & T Reid Pocock received 4/13, K Wilson & S Fahey & A Tomlinson received 6/15, T Reid Pocock & C Farnan received 8/17 while J Lynch & J Wilson received 9/18. This week will be the K & L Forsyth Memorial sponsored by their families, playing a single stableford competition. Next week will be the Darvall Cup playing both Saturday & Sunday. Saturday will be a single stroke/monthly medal competition. Sunday will be a single stroke competition.
Sunday: This week we have a small Social Club using some of the buggies. Social play will be available to play amongst them. Please ring the club to book a buggy ahead of time to make sure there is one available to avoid disappointment, as the bookings are filling fast.
