Golf Notes 9/9/24 – 15/9/24
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 32 players, play a stableford competition at Gailes. The winner was R Stinson ocb from runner up R Scells with 38 pts. The ball run down went to M Gray 36 pts, G Hunt & C Petrohilos & N Halls 35 pts followed by S Dennis, W Lovett & R Holland 34 pts and J Trovatello 33 pts. The pin shot on 12 was received by J Gurney. Monday the 23rd the course is closed for renovations.
Ladies:
No Ladies competition last week. This week will be a stableford competition for the Ladies Open Day on Thursday. Next week will sponsored by K Cook playing a 4BBB stableford competition.
Sporters:
The Sporters were sponsored by T & H Roebig from Vanberry Cottage playing a single stableford 10 – 18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was T Russell with 34 pts, runner up was J McGrath ocb from G Eviston with 29 pts. The run down continued with R Scells R Cuneo & N Hooke 27 pts, M Herrington & W Lovett 26 pts followed by L Blunt 25 pts and B Beasley, M Wyvill, B May G Parker & M O’Reilly 24 pts. Pin shots were received by B Beasley on both 4 & 9, J McGrath received 8. The Dugandan Dice winner was R Freeman with 5 Queens. This week will be sponsored by Boonah Eyecare playing a single stableford 10-18+ 1, 5 & 6 competition. Next week will be sponsored by D Beazley playing a single stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday, was sponsored by B & G Philp, D Wall & L Blunt playing a 4 ball Ambrose competition. The winners were A Chand, D Walkom, J Smith & J Smith with 52.625. runners up were J Dover, M Yeates, S Bennet & W Maudsley with 57.25 followed by B Lynch, B Williams, C Wheeler & L Moloney with 57.5. The run down went to B Perrem, K Wilson, B Lawrance & S Bailey and G & T Eviston, J Lynch & A Heit with 57.625, J & D Gurney, B May & W Gnech with 58.375, P Eggenhuizen, M Wyvill, R Burnett & R Freeman 58.5, S McKenzie, S Reid, T Reid Pocock & I Pocock with 58.625, followed by A, T & S Bennett & J Finney with 59.375 and C Farnan, J Miles, C Bell & K McQuilty with 59.5. Pin shots were received by J Wilson & L Molony on 4/13, B Perrem & S Grace received 6/15, B Dover & P Gerhardt received 8/17 and L Moloney received 9/18. This week will be Glen Sippel Memorial playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition. Next week will be sponsored by Boonah Furniture Court playing a single stableford competition. This will be a 12.30 shot gun start.
Pennants:
B Grade pennants played Gatton at Ipswich and had a win 5 – 2.
Sunday:
We have a Social Club this week using all of our buggies. Social play will be available when they have completed their rounds. If wanting a buggy please ring the club to book or to make sure one is available to avoid disappointment.
