Golf Notes 1/7/24 – 7/7/24
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 42 players, play a single stableford competition. The winner was G Clark with 40 pts, runner up was J Browning ocb from G Sharpe with 37 pts. The ball continued G Hunt 36 pts, R Freeman, S Edwards, N Halls, T Norris & G Philp 35 pts followed by W Hill, B May & T Russell 34 pts and K Rhodes, W Lovett & P Edward Ross 33 pts. Pin shots were received by S Dennis, D Bass & J Gurney. Next week will be a single stroke competition, for the 2nd round of the Veterans Championships.
Ladies:
Wednesday the Ladies had 7 players play a single stroke/monthly medal competition, for a club trophy. The winner was N Stanfield ocb from runner up T Reid Pocock with 75 net. Pin Shots were received by T Reid Pocock & D Marshall. This was week will be a single stableford competition for the next round of the Consistency Cup. Next week will be a bisque bogey competition sponsored by D Marshall.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters had 29 players, playing a single stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition, kindly sponsored by R & W Maudsley from BP Boonah. The winner was G Eviston with 24 pts, runner up was M Weber with 23 pts, followed by R Freeman ocb with 22pts. Pin shots were received R Freeman on 13, A Skinner received 17, while B Beasley received 18. The Dugandan Dice winner was G Searle with 5 Kings. This week will be sponsored by FIS Insurance Brokers, playing a 2 ball Ambrose 1-9 + 10, 14 + 15 competition. Next week will be sponsored by The Bucher Co playing a single stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday we played a single stroke/monthly medal competition sponsored by D Forsyth, M O’Reilly & W Hill. The overall winner was N Stanfield with 66 net. The Mens winner was S Lutter with 68 net, runner up was R Lawrie ocb from K Sawtell with 69 net, followed by P Rogers with 71 net. The Ladies winner was K Turner ocb from runner up A Leary also ocb with 75 net. The rundown went to I Pocock 72 net, C Wilson 73 net, G Clark, B Shaw, M Titcomb, J Gurney, J West, P Schwarz, S Fahey, B Brown & D Tomlinson with 74 net, P McNiven, J Pfingst, E Meagher, A Brown & C Bell 75 net, T Reid Pocock, M O’Reilly, D Forsyth, D Bass, M Gnech, & B Philp 76 net, B May, M Wyvill, G Philp, P Rabbitt & L Blunt 77 net, followed by J Trovatello, M Cavanagh, J Grimsey, W Gnech, R Eacott, Z Eviston & S Grace 78 net and A Parker, M Dickson, B Beasley, G Parker, A Gill, G Grimsey & A Tomlinson 79 net. Sunday:
No Social Club this week. Social Play will be available anytime though the clubhouse will open at 7 am if requiring a buggy. Ring the club to book your round to avoid disappointment.
