Golf Notes 29/1/24 – 4/2/24
Veterans:
No Veterans was played this week due to the course being flooded. Next week will be a single stableford competition.
Ladies:
The Ladies will start their year with a single stableford competition on Wednesday. Next week will be a stableford competition sponsored by Hair Shine.
Sporters: No Sporters was played last Wednesday due to the course being flooded. This week will be sponsored by R Humphrey playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week will be sponsored by N Hooke playing a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by Arthur Hertweck from Boonah Real Estate playing a single stroke/Monthly Medal competition. Thanks for your continued support. This was the OOM for the Moreton Districts. The Overall Winner and Monthly Medal winner was S Bennett with 60 net. The A Grade winner was R Higgs ocb from runner up T Pearce with 69 net. B Grade winner was D Smith with 67 net, runner up was L Blunt with 69 net. C Grade winner was C Gatehouse with 62 net, runner up was D Tomlinson with 65 net. The C Grade boys Sam, Casey & Dick really found it easy as they had the best net scores for the day, better check your handicaps as I am sure they will go down. The Ladies winner and Monthly Medal was K Turner with 72 net, runner up was S Grace with 76 net. The run down went to T Condon with 70 net, R Kranenburg, B Stieler, R Daniels, M Weber & R Humphrey 71 net, followed by M Mukson, D Coyne, D Hume, B Heaton & L McKlaren with 72 net and B Gemmell, Josh Miles, J Lynch, G Grimsey & R Stinson with 73 net. Pin shots were received by T Pearce on 2/11, S Bennett & K Turner received 12 & 3/12, A Leary & R Lawrie received 4/13, A Gemmell received 5/14, S Grace received 6/15, C Gatehouse received 7/16, K Turner & K Sawtell received 8/17 while D Brown received 9/18. The best gross for the day were T Pearce & B Stieler with 70 off the stick. B Grade was D Smith with 77 off the stick while C Grade best gross was S Bennett with 80 off the stick. Sunday:
Sunday we have a small Social Club using some of the buggies. Social Play will be available to play amongst them. Some buggies will be available, but ring the club to book so you won’t be disappointed.
