Golf Notes 28/8/23 – 3/9/23
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 29 players, play a Single Stableford competition. The winner was W Hill with 40 pts, runner up was R Holland with 38 pts ocb from T Henderson. The run down continued with G Philp, G Parker & K Rhodes 37 pts followed by R Burnett, B Brown & R Freeman 36 pts, T Russell 35 pts and D Forsyth & S Edwards 34 pts. R Humphrey had an Eagle on the 3rd hole. Pin shots were received G Hunt, T Russell & J Browning while J Edwards received the ladies. The Encouragement Award was awarded to K Eugarde.
Ladies:
This week was sponsored by Elite Meats for the Annette Geiger Memorial, playing a stableford competition. The winner was B Dover with 38 pts, runner up D Marshall with 37 pts. This will be the next round of the Consistency Cup.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by S Bennet from Boonah Business Supplies playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was K Rhodes ocb from runner up G Searle, B Beasley & D Forsyth with 27 pts. The rundown continued with P Eggenhuizen & M Gray 26 pts, followed by J Strutt, R Freeman & M Chambers 25 pts and G Eviston & G Parker with 24 pts. Pin shots were received by J McGrath on 4, G Lutter received 8 while R Burnett received 9. The Dugandan Dice winner was M Chambers with 5 Queens. Saturday:
Saturday we played a single stroke/monthly medal competition, kindly sponsored by B & G Philp. The Mens winner was B Perrem with 69 net, runner up was P Dadds ocb from M O’Reilly, W Martin & D Mortimer with 71 net. The Ladies winner was S Grace with 69 net, runner up was A Leary with 74 net, followed by S Reid 75 net. The run down continued with B Lynch 72 net, J Gurney, G Martin, G Eviston & J Handley 73 net, followed by M Weber & B Gotke 74 net and S Edwards, C Wilson & G Benstead 75 net. Pin shots were received by G Martin & S Reid on 4/13, R Humphrey & K Turner received 8/17 while G Eviston & J Wilson received 9/18. This week will be The Fassifern Suicide Prevention Open Day playing a 4 ball Ambrose competition. This is a 12.30 shot gun start. Next week will be the Glen Sippel Memorial playing a single stableford/monthly mug competition.
Sunday:
This week we a Social Club using all of the buggies, then we have the Greg Newman Memorial playing in the afternoon. No Social play will be available. Ring the club to make a booking or for any further details.
