Golf Notes 21/10/24 – 27/10/24

Veterans:

Monday the Veterans had 41 players play a single stableford competition.   The winner was K Brown ocb from runner up J Picton with 45 pts.  The ball rundown went to W Hill 41 pts, G Hunt & R Freeman 39 pts, G Clark, T Henderson, D Stanfield & D Mortimer 37 pts followed by G Philp 36 pts, M Gnech 35 pts and S Edwards, T Norris, G Sharpe, L Blunt & D Bass with 34 pts.  The pin shots were received by W Hill & G Sharpe while D Wall & L Edwards received the ladies.   Next week will be a 4BBB stableford competition.

Ladies:

Wednesday the ladies had 13 players play a single stableford competition, for a club trophy.  The winner was S Grace ocb from runner up D Marshall with 37 pts.  The run down went to L Edwards 36 pts and V Sampson with 35 pts.  B Dover received both pin shots.  This week will be a single stableford competition.

Sporters: 

Wednesday the Sporters had 40 players, play a single stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition, sponsored by T Richardson from Boonah Mitre 10.  The winner was B Lynch with 43 net, runner up was J Strutt with 45 net.  The run down went to G Eviston 46 net, A Hertweck, A Gill & G Hunt 47 net followed by K Rhodes, L Vandenbrink & P Willett 48 net and L Blunt & R Freeman with 49 net.  Pin shots were received by G Eviston on 13, G Parker received 17 while S Fahey received 18.  The Dugandan Dice winner was W Hall with 5 Aces in a toss off.  This week will be sponsored by W Lovett & D Stanfield playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.  Next week will be sponsored by M Crowther playing a 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 single stroke competition.  There is a putting comp as well so you will have to count your putts.

Saturday:   

Saturday we played a 4 Ball Ambrose competition, kindly sponsored by Tony Holland Funerals.    The winners were B Lynch, C Wheeler, B Perrem & K Wilson with 56 net, runners up were C Bell, B Lacassie, J Miles & A Moore with 56.875, followed by D Bass, J Pfingst, N Mulligan & J Briant with 57.5.  The run down went to L Blunt, C Shannon,  M Dickson & M Titcomb with 57.875, followed by B Beasley, M Weber, S Lutter & G Martin with 58 net.    Pin shots were received by S Savery & L Blunt on 4/13, B Dover & R Lawrie received 8/17 while J Briant & J Gurney received 9/18.  This week will be sponsored by our Boonah Vets playing a single stableford competition.  Next week will be sponsored by Butcher Co playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition.
