Golf Notes 11/11/24 – 17/11/24
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 45 players, play a single stroke competition. The winner was K Brown with 70 net, runner up R Burnett with 72 pts. The ball rundown went to W Maudsley & D Forsyth 73 net, D Beazley, K Turner, B Carter & D Wall 74 net, followed by J Gurney, R Lawrie & B Zeidler 75 net and R Freeman, B Fahey, M Panzram, D Bass, M Gray & S Edwards with 76 net. The pin shots were received by K Brown, W Maudsley, M Panzram & G Clark while D Wall & K Turner received the ladies.
Ladies:
No Ladies competition on Wednesday due to the rain. This week will be sponsored by S Grace playing a 4BBB stableford competition.
Sporters:
No Sporters on Wednesday due to the rain. This week will be sponsored by Dover & Sons for the 1st round of the Sporters Championships, playing a single stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week will be also be sponsored by Dover & Sons playing the 2nd round of the championships playing a 10-184 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. W Gnech will sponsor he Best Gross for the Championships while A Hertweck will do a Xmas Ham.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by FIS Insurance playing a single stableford competition. Thanks to FIS for your continued support. The Mens winner was D Tomlinson ocb from runner up S Edwards with 39 pts, followed by C Gatehouse 38 pts, R Lawrie 37 pts, B Lawrance 36 pts, P Rabbitt & L Gordon with 35 pts ocb. The Ladies winner was S Reid with 38 pts, runner up was A Leary 36 pts followed by B Dover 34 pts, J Wilson 32 pts and L Edwards & N Mulligan with 30 pts. The run down went to G Eviston, G Clark & G Grimsey 35 pts, B May & S Bennett 34 pts, C Stephan, M Herrington, G Parker, D Mortimer & M Gnech 33 pts and J Trovatello, J Surawski, A Bennett, M Dickson, D Bass, J Gurney, W Gnech & A Heit with 32 pts. Pin shots were received by S Reid & R Higgs on 4/13, S Reid & B May received 8/17 while A Tomlinson & S Edwards received 9/18. Sunday:
This week we have a small Social Club teeing off at 7.30 using some of the buggies. Social Play will be available in amongst them, though ring the club to book a buggy if wanting one to see if any are available.
