Golf Notes 25/11/24 – 1/12/24
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 46 players, play a single stableford competition. The winner was R Burnett ocb from runner up W Hill with 37 pts. The ball rundown went to W Lovett & D Mortimer 36 pts, D Stanfield, G Hunt, D Forsyth, J Gurney & W Maudsley 35 pts followed by D Bass, G Parker & P Edward Ross with 34 pts. The pin shots were received by W Lovett, G Hunt & J Gurney while J Edwards, K Turner & D Wall received the ladies. Next week will be the last day of the Vets for the year playing a 4BBB competition, with Christmas Lunch to follow completion of play.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters played the last round of their Championships, playing a single stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition, sponsored by Dover & Sons. The winner was S Edwards with 45 net, runner up was R Scells with 47 net. The run down went to G Parker, G Hunt, D Forsyth, C Shannon & N Hooke 48 net, followed by P Willett with 49 net. Pin shots were received by R Burnett on 13, A Skinner received 17 while G Eviston received 18. The best gross for the day was S Fahey with 51 off the stick. The Sporters Champion for 2024 is G Hunt, B Grade Champion is C Shannon while R Scells is the C Grade Champion. S Fahey won the Best Gross sponsored by W Gnech with 102 off the stick, while G Hunt won A Hertwecks Xmas Ham. The Dugandan Dice winner was B May with 5 Aces. This week will be sponsored by M Wyvill & P Eggenhuizen playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week will be sponsored by S Lutter, M O’Reilly, C Shannon, N Hooke & C Farnan for the Graham Lou Lutter Memorial, playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday was washed out due to the course becoming flooded. This week will be a single stroke/monthly medal play off sponsored by G & Z Eviston, W Gnech & B Sampson. Next week will be sponsored by Peak Pool Performance playing a single stableford/monthly mug play off. If you have won a monthly medal or mug you are in the running for the play offs.
Sunday:
No Social Play available this week as we are hosting the Pennant Finals.
