Golf Notes 17/6/24 – 23/6/24
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 32 players, play a single stroke competition. The winner was J Browning with 70 net, runner up was P Peck with 71 net. The ball run down went to J Trovatello, B Philp, E Meagher & K Rhodes with 72 net, T Henderson & M Gray 73, net followed by G Hunt & R Freeman 74 net and J Gurney & C Petrohilos 75 net. Pin shots were received by D Bass, J Browning, J Gurney & R Burnett while E Meagher received the ladies. The Members Draw jackpotted. Next week will be a single stableford competition.
Ladies:
Wednesday the Ladies had 9 players play a single stableford competition, sponsored by R Fitzpatrick. The winner was B Dover with 35 pts, runner up D Marshall with 33 pts. Pin Shots were received by B Dover. This week will be a stableford competition, sponsored by the Fassifern Pharmacy. Next week will be single stroke/monthly medal competition, for a club trophy.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters had 32 players, play a single stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition, sponsored by D Rhodes from Scenic Rim Pest Management. The winner was M Gray with 43 net, runner up was L Vandenbrink with 46 net. The run down went to K Rhodes, B Beasley, S Fahey, T Henderson, R Burnett & J Gurney with 49 net. Pin shots were received P Willett on 13, R Burnett received 17, while B Beasley received 18. The Best Gross for the day was B Beasley. The Dugandan Dice winner was J Picton with 5 Aces. This week will be sponsored C Farnan playing a single stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week will be sponsored by R & W Maudsley from BP Boonah playing a single stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Saturday:
Saturday we played a single stableford competition, for a club trophy. The Mens winner was P McNiven with 44 pts, runner up was C Wheeler with 40 pts. The Ladies winner was J Pfingst with 39 pts, runner up was H Roebig with 34 pts. The rundown went to C Farnan & R Lawrie 38 pts, G Eviston & P Gerhardt 37 pts, P Schwarz, T Roebig & J Trovatello 36 pts, W Martin, B Lawrance, J Browning & W Hill 35 pts, followed by B Williams, C Perrem & S Fahey 34 pts. Pin shots were received by K Sawtell & J Pfingst on 4/13, P Gerhardt & V Bird received 8/17 while P Schwarz & D Wall received 9/18. This week will be a single stroke competition, sponsored by G J Walsh. Next week will be sponsored by D Forsyth, M O’Reilly & W Hill playing a single stroke/monthly medal competition and will be the 5th round of the Claret Jug Challenge.
Sunday:
This week we have a small social club, followed by the ladies foursome championships commencing around 10 am. No Social play will be available.
