Golf Notes 13/11/23 – 19/11/23
Veterans:
Monday the Veterans had 45 players, play a stroke competition. The Mens winner was D Beazley ocb from runner up W Lovett with 69 net. The Ladies winner was K Turner with 70 net, runner up was E Meagher with 73 net. The ball run down W Delaney W Maudsley, S Edwards & A McNeill 71 net, B May & W Hall 72 net followed by D Forsyth, R Freeman, A Swift & R Humphrey 73 net. Pin shots were received W Delaney & S Kopelke while E Meagher & L Kelly received the ladies. The Encouragement Award was awarded to W Wieland. Next week will be a single stableford competition.
Ladies:
This week the ladies had 10 players play a stableford competition, kindly sponsored by Marlene Zurvas. The winner was L Reinholdsson with 40 pts, runner up was A Brown ocb from D Marshall with 35 pts.
Sporters:
Wednesday the Sporters were sponsored by Dover & Sons, playing a single stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was B Beasley with 43 net, runner up was C Shannon with 44 net. The rundown went to L Blunt & J Strutt 45 net, J Gurney & W Hall 48 net followed by R Maudsley, G Eviston & T Roebig with 49 net. Pin shots were received by T Henderson on 13, S Fahey received 17 while B Beasley received 18. The Dugandan Dice winner was B Brown with 5 Aces, in a toss off. This week will be sponsored by K Rhodes playing a single stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 + 15 competition. Next week will be sponsored by B Brown playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
The A Grade Champion is B Beasley. Brendon also won the best gross for the Championships sponsored by W Gnech, A Hertwecks Ham, along with the best gross for the day with 48 off the stick. B Grade Champion is L Blunt. C Grade Champion is J Strutt.
Saturday:
Saturday was sponsored by Oppy’s Fruit & Veg playing a single stableford competition. Thanks goes to Stuart & Sandra for their continued support. The Overall winner was D Tomlinson with 44 pts. The Mens winner was J Browning ocb from runner up S Bennett & G Benstead with 41 pts. The Ladies winner was J Pfingst with 38 pts, runner up was Z Eviston with 37 pts. The rundown went to B Sampson 40 pts, W Martin 39 pts, D Mortimer, C Shannon & P Gerhardt 38 pts, followed by A Gill, B Brown, J Handley, R Humphrey & L Blunt 37 pts and G Eviston, R Lawrie, B Beasley, J Wilson, V Bird & T Reid Pocock with 36 pts. Pin shots were received by L Blunt with a hole in 1 & A Brown on 4/13, D Martin & D Wall received 8/17 while B Beasley & A Leary received 9/18. We had 2 eagles with Les Blunt having a hole in one and B Beasley on the 15th hole. This week will be The Boonah Lions Open Day playing a 2 ball Ambrose competiton with a 12.30 shot gun start. The next week will be sponsored by G & Z Eviston, W Gnech & B Sampson playing a single stroke competition. This will be the Monthly Medal playoff.

This week we have a small social club using some of the buggies. Social play will be available to play amongst them. Ring the club for any further details.
