Wednesday the sporters was sponsored by Boonah Motel as we played the 2nd round of the Championships playing a stroke 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6. The winner was B. Brown ocb from runner up W. Gnech with 45 net. The run down also with 45 net was D. Westlake, followed by M. O’Reilly & T. Weatherhead 46 net, D. Webster 47 net, A. Featherstone & A. Browning 48 net and S. Fahey, L. Vandenbrink & A. Gill with 49 net. The pin shots were received by D. Westlake on 13, W. Maudsley received 17, while D. Westlake received 18. Arthur Hertwecks’ Christmas Ham was won by M. O’Reilly. Thanks to the Dugandan Hotel for their sponsorship of the dice, this week won by M. Weber. The A Grade Winner of the Championships was R. Cuneo with 96 net, B. Grade Winner M. O’Reilly ocb with 92 net and C Grade Winner D. Webster 97 net. The Best Gross was received by S. Fahey with 105 off the stick for both rounds. This week will be sponsored by B. Brown playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15. Sporters will resume on Wednesday the 8th January, 2014.
Friendly Friday
The Friendly Friday’s had 12 players, playing a stableford back nine competition. The winner was V. Wilson with 21 pts, runner up cob was B. Hutchinson from A. Heit with 20 pts, followed by B. Davey with 18 pts. The pin shot was received G. Eviston. Come and enjoy playing 9 holes of friendly fun teeing off at 3pm……..…………… See you all there.
Saturday
Saturday was sponsored by Raceview Sand & Gravel playing a stableford competition. The winner was W. Draheim with 43 pts, runner up K. Eugarde from D. Hooper with 42 pts. The run down went to E. Kelly (Monthly Mug Winner), D. Forsyth and S. Fahey with 40 pts, followed by R. Philp 39 pts, C. Shannon 38 pts and W. Jackson, B. May and P. King 36 pts. Pin shots were received by M. O’Reilly on 4/13, B. May received 8/17 while A. Featherstone received 9/18. The ladies winner was K. Cook with 34 pts, runner up K. Turner 33 pts. Pins shots were received by K. Turner on 4/13 while D. Wall received 8/17. The pro pin sponsored by Sugarloaf Bakery, is currently held by D. Wall with 4.6 m. This week will be our Closing Day sponsored by F. Johnson & P. Ward paying a 2 person Ambrose. Next week will be a club trophy, playing a stroke competition. Timesheets are out now.
Sunday
Social Clubs are now finished for the year Chookies and Social players are welcome to play at any time. Clubhouse will be open at 8.30 if wanting a buggy.
