Ladies
Monthly Medal and sponsorship by Anna’s Hair last week was a stroke competition which was won by the ever consistent Ellen Meagher with net 73 net. Meryl Tress was runner-up with 77 but the other scores were not so flash!! Players were Anne Brown, Jan Baulch, Maureen Maynard, Juleen Sippel, Marg Kuhnemann and Linda Hooke. Lesley Rhodes joined us for 9 holes. Ellen also won the pin shot on 4/13 and Anne on 8/17 and Anne also had the least number of putts. Josie Newlove is our sponsor for the Audrey Morris Memorial this week followed by Linda Hooke’s day which is also a visit from the Toogoolawah ladies. We are heading for the play off for the yearly medal of medals come first Wednesday in November and each month has been won by a different player. Should be an interesting day’s competition for this honour board event. Kris Cook and Linda Hooke have done a great job with the gardens round the course with new plantings now we have had some rain. Sporters
Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by J Potter playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was R Scells with 26 pts, runner up N Hooke with 25 pts. The run down went to G Searle & B May with 24 pts. Pin shots were received by G Searle on 13, B Davey received 17 while B May received 18. The Dugandan Dice sponsored by the Dugandan Hotel was received by J Gillett. This week will be sponsored by W Hall & B Sampson playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15. Next week will be the District Pubs Day playing a back 9 competition. This will be a 1.30 shot gun start.
Friendly Friday
Friendly Fridays had 11 players tee off playing a stableford front 9 competition. The winner was D May with 22 pts, runner up K Sawtell ocb from V Riley with 18 pts. The pinshot was received by V Riley while S Riley received by NAGA.
Saturday
Saturday we played the Boonah Furniture Court Open Day. The A Grade winner & Monthly Medal winner was J Browning with 66 net, runner up W Gnech 67 net, followed by P King with 70 net. B Grade winner was S Bailey with 68 net (Scott also had an Eagle on the second hole), runner up K Mitchell 69 net followed by W Jackson with 70 net. The C Grade winner was A Jackson with 70 net ocb from runner up S Hughes, followed by C Shannon 71 net ocb. The Ladies winner was J McAntee with 70 net, runner up S Edwards 71 net. The Social winner was S Lutter. The rundown went to K Wilson 70 net, J McGrath, T Lynch, G Lutter & J Shine 71 net, R Cuneo & M Sullivan 72 net followed by J Baulch, W Maudsley, K Sawtell, G Ball, D McLean, J Handley & M Dickson 73 net. Pin shots were received by A Gill on 3/12 & 6/15, P Dadds & K Cook on 4/13, K Mitchell & A Leary received 8/17 while J Lynch received 9/18. Sunday the Division 2 team beat Sandy Gallop 3½ to 1½. Kaleb Wilson won 5/4, Scott Bailey won 5/3, Issac Browning won 2/1 while Ben Perrem squared.
