Monday Boonah Veterans
Last Monday veterans held a single Stableford event and the winner for the day was Garth Henderson having 43 points and the runner up was Phil Cooper having 39 points following in the rundown was V Riley with 37 points. For those who played the 4BBB Stableford comp, winners were Glen Sippel and Col Shannon having 89 points and runners up were Vern Wilson and Rob Brooks having 88 points. The NTP on 4/13 was received by V Riley, the mens NTP for 8/17 was received by G Sippel and the ladies NTP for 8/17 was received by J Edwards. Reminder our Veterans Open Day will be held here on the 29th of August, shot gun start for 8.30am.
Wednesday Sporters
Last week seen Stan McCullough Memorial Golf Day sponsored by Simons Tavern, the competition held was a single stroke 10-18+7-9 event and the winner with 44 nett was Hal Gwynne and the runner up was Bob Brown with 47 nett, hasn’t lost touch of the course since being away. The NTP on 13 was received by L Roberts, 8/17 was received by R Cuneo and 9/18 was received by G Parker. Bruce May had the best Gross, 56. This week we play for Wally Woolgar trophy sponsored by David Woolgar, the comp played will be a single Stableford 1-9+16-18. The following week we play a single stablefor 10-18+7-9 event for Glen Sippel trophy day.
Friendly Fridays
Last Friday afternoon seen 9 players for a Stableford 1-9 event and the winner for the afternoon was Col Shannon having 21 points and the runner up was Margot Leary having 20 points following in the rundown were Clive Greet and Garth Henderson with 19 points and Vern Wilson with 18 points. Tee off time is for 2.30pm. See you all then!
Saturday
Last Saturday seen 49 golfers play a single Stableford Competition. Sponsor for the day was John Shine. The winner for the day was Joe McGrath with 41pts,runner up was Vic Riley on a countback from Stuart Fahey both having 40pts, the run down continued with C Philp, J. Handley, G Phip, R. Humphrey, M O’Reilly, G. Ball, T. Domjahn, T. Weatherhead, S. Ross, P Dadds and M. Gnech. The Ladies winner was Rose Featherstone with 33 pts while the runner up was Karen Draheim with 31 pts. Nearest the pins were 4/13 J McGrath, the ladies went to K Draheim, 8/17 also Joe McGrath with a hole in one, Congratulations Joe, and 9/18 was won by C Philp. This Saturday is a Club Trophy Stroke Day, Sunday is Rotary Clubs’ Open Day. August 27th will be Maureen and Greg Maynards trophy day playing a 4BBB Stableford Medley event. All timesheets are available for these events now.
