Ladies
Margeret Kuhnemann was our sponsor last week – thanks Marg. Competition was a stableford and was won by Anne Brown with 34 points. Runner-up Ellen Meagher 33, Jo McAntee 31, Vicki Bird 30, Linda Hooke and Maureen Maynard 29 all collected a ball and other players were Jan Baulch, Jan Edwards, Juleen Sippel, Meryl Tress and Marg. Jo won the pin shots on 4/13 and Maureen on 8/17. A very successful morning tea was held at the clubhouse last Thursday for the biggest morning tea for cancer. 3 guest speakers told their stories of the fight and survival of cancer and $1,399.00 was forwarded to the Cancer Council of Queensland, the proceeds for the day. The club championships start on Saturday 19th with 4 rounds over 2 week-end. Good golfing and may all your putts fall in.
Sporters
Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by E Newlove & M O’Reilly playing a stableford + putts, 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. The winner was R Stinson with 27 pts ocb from runner up G Parker & A Stick. The rundown continued with M O’Reilly 26 pts, M Gray & J Gillett 25 pts and M Maudsley, W Hall, R Wilkie & D Forsyth 24 pts. Pinshots were received by W Hall on 17 while J McGrath received 18. The putting competition was won by R Stinson with 18 ocb. This week will be sponsored by G Parker & L Blunt playing a stroke 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. Next week will be sponsored by Boonah Tyre Service playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition.
Friendly Friday
We had 21 players tee off playing a stroke front 9 competition. The winner was D May with 30 net, runner up W Martin 31 net followed by P Cooper 34 net ocb from K Sawtell & B Brown. The run down continued with P King 35 net and A Brown 36 net. The pinshot was received by D May while B Lawrance received the NAGA.
Saturday
Saturday we played the Fassifern Bushrangers Open Day. The winner was M Schubring with 43 pts, runner up J Gillett with 41 pts, followed by T Richardson, V Riley & M Weber 39 pts. The ladies winner was M Kuhnemann with 32 pts, runner up D Wall 31 pts. The ball run down went P King 38 pts, C McVicar & V Christensen 37 pts, B Gotke, J Nunan, GMaynard & D Forsyth 36 pts followed by G Philp, M Gnech, S Francis, R Patrick, L Vandenbrink, B Perrem & R Fitzgerald 35 pts. Pin Shots were received by W Hall on 1/10, K Sawtell received 2/11, S Lutter received 3/12, W Maudsley & J McAntee on 4/13, B Gotke received 5/14, C Perrem received 6/15, G Maynard received 7/16, J McAntee & R Brooks received 8/17 while P King received 9/18. The Accurate Drives were received by D Forsyth & M Kuhnemann. The pro pin on 4 is sponsored by Drummond Golf and currently held by W Maudsley with 2.35m. Sunday
The winner of the Chookies this week was N Dieckmann with 26 pts, runner up B Johnson with 24 pts. The pin shots were received by E Wrigley & B Johnson. This weekend and next weekend will be taken up with our Championships. Social play will be available after the last group has commenced their 10th hole. Ring the club for further details.
