Ladies
Last Wednesday was monthly medal day sponsored by Steve and Linda Edwards as the Northpoint Motel and the winner was Jan Baulch with 74 nett. Jo McAntee beat Juleen Sippel on the countback for runner-up with 78, and other players were Jan Edwards Kris Cook Ellen Meagher and Linda Hooke. Linda won the pin shot on 4/13 and Jo on 8/17. Jo also won the least number of putts. This was a small field because Maureen Maynard, Marg Kuhnemann and Anne Brown represented Boonah at Laidley for their Open Day where Maureen won her division with a mighty 42 stableford points. Wednesday is another round of the Consistency Cup and Juleen Sippel is the sponsor. Our honour board event, the Darvall Cup will be played over 2 days this week-end and next Wednesday is the Gail Grimsey Memorial day. Good golfing ladies and may all your putts drop in.
Sporters
Wednesday the Sporters was sponsored by J Potter playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition. The winner was R Brooks with 26 pts, runner up W Hall 25 pts ocb from B Brown. The ball run down continued with M Hassan & A Featherstone 24 pts. A Skinner won the pin shot on 4, R Fitzgerald received 8 while R Burnett received 9. The Dugie dice sponsored by the Dugandan Hotel was won by B May. This week will be the Wally Woolgar Trophy sponsored by David Woolgar playing a stableford 10-18 + 1, 5 & 6 competition. Next week will the Glenn Sippel Memorial Trophy sponsored by the QFS and DF playing a stableford 1-9 + 10, 14 & 15 competition.
Friendly Friday
Friendly Fridays had 21 players tee off for a stableford front 9 competition. The winner was J Handley with 25 pts, runner up P Cooper 23 pts followed by P King with 22 pts. The ball run down went to L Hooke & W Martin 21 pts, V Christensen 20 pts, followed by B Hamilton, G Henderson, N Hooke, T Lynch, J Browning & T Alchin 18 pts. The pin shot was received by J Browning while J Pfingst received the NAGA Friendly Fridays are now teeing off at 2.45.
Saturday
Saturday was sponsored by Drummond Golf playing a 4BBB stableford competition. The winners were M Gnech & Z Eviston with 49 pts, runners up M Sullivan & N Toohey ocb from A Featherstone & W Bird with 48 pts. The ball rundown continued with R Brooks & S Hughes 47 pts, D Yeates & P Cooper 46 pts, followed by J Shine & K Eugarde 45 pts, M Tress & P Gerhardt and T Alchin & C Perrem 44 pts, G Ball & D Gittins, W Maudlsey & W Gnech and B Philp & M O’Reilly 43 pts and T Lynch & J Edwards, J McAntee & J Yates, A & B Brown and J McGrath & J Handley 42 pts. The NAGA went to G Philp & K Turner. Pin Shots were received by K Turner & M Weber on 4/13, A Brown & J Browning received 8/17 while C Perrem received 9/18. The Chook Run kindly sponsored by Mechanics in Boonah was won by S Fahey with 18 pts. This Sunday we are playing the 2nd day of the Darvall Cup so social play will be available after 2.30, when the last group has started their back 9. Ring the club to make a booking or for further details.
